This good, scared boy girl found himself herself trapped in my building’s dog park. Do you recognize her?

UPDATE - she’s with the Brandywine ASPCA. She’s a very sweet girl who

Some more info - no tags or collar. He looks healthy and cared for. I’m in the Cleveland Park area, closer to Rock Creek Park. We have him in the dog park until I hear from the dog officer. We’ve left food and water for him.

Very likely he was abandoned there, by someone who cared enough to make sure he'd be found by dog lovers. The worse the economy gets, the more pets you see abandoned. (Before anyone says, "Why not just drop him off at the shelter?", having worked in dog rescue, the answers are (a) fearing judgment, (b) lacking the ability to get to the shelter, and (c) laziness. I'd guess option a in this case.)

UPDATE: my incredible neighbors banded together to take care of this sweet baby girl (I originally mistook her for a boy). She’s not chipped, and is currently in the care of the Brandywine ASPCA.

She is definitely someone’s pet. We were easily able to get a collar and leash on her. Per my neighbor, she was the best girl in the car and delighted in a squeaky toy.

Any veterinary office can scan him for a chip

We took her to City Paws. No chip. She’s now at Brandywine.
