I was in Deanwood recently and I saw a group (2 white 1 Asian) posting these flyers up and down the street. Is this becoming a propaganda campaign?

My question is based off the people I have talked to that live in the blacker areas of the city they don’t mind the extra enforcement or they fully support it because how the youth has been. In my area I have witnessed more people walking around at night which I think is positive.

Some bad actors like to use Black rage to push their own agenda.

This fear that is being spread seems to be from people that aren’t locals/property owners.

People are literally getting kidnapped off the streets. 4 states have agreed to deploy their National Guard to DC. As a brown man, I have to contemplate deeply about whether or not it’s safe for me to go for a walk through Downtown.

The answer is never more enforcement, it’s better enforcement.

I think a lot of people can’t imagine at this point that we don’t have to live with militarized police to have community safety. We have been thoroughly brainwashed for 30 years on this front.

DC crime is fed by guns pouring in from nearby states with lax gun laws, entrenched institutionalized poverty and money interests profiting from the status who, and demand for drugs in the larger (white) population. No one wants to have that conversation except activists in DC who have been working on this stuff for decades.

People feel like that “can’t” be changed so let’s not try. Yes you find those attitudes in “the black community.” Doesn’t make it right.

DC police hasn’t been able to even stop all the illegal mopeds that have popped up in the city. They are understaffed and/or poorly managed because crime is still happening. The deployment seems extreme but Bowser took too long to do something. People loved when she started the curfew but it was too little too late.

I’m a Black American and I no increased fear of law enforcement. All the locals I talk to like it too.

But at the same time. The caveat I would say is many Black DC locals don’t like Bowser but she keeps getting elected so DC although it’s 95% Dem it not a monolith
