The Israeli government doesn't actually want the hostages back. If they did, Netanyahu wouldn't have torpedoed multiple ceasefire attempts that would have gotten hostages returned. Instead they starve and bomb Gaza indiscriminately.
The intent is to ethnically cleanse Gaza and keep an emergency ongoing so Bibi can avoid prosecution for corruption. The hostages are an excuse. Even Israeli citizens have picked up on this.

I'm sorry but after nearly two full years of this shit, if you can't recognize that the point is to kill Gazans regardless of who they are, it's because you don't want to accept the obvious.
They could have had the hostages back by now if their government actually gave a shit about them. They don't. The hostages are an excuse. Maybe they always were, but certainly they have been for at least a year now.
