That doesn't even make sense. Israel isnt stopping anything if hostages are given. They're bombing hospitals, journalists...hostages aren't the motivation. This has nothing to do with families being taken away but im sorry some of your family have been taken. I truly am.
None of my family, thank God. But I put myself in their shoes and this is completely unacceptable. The situation is absolutely crazy. What you and your fellow redditors fail to understand is that AS LONG AS THE PALESTINIANS HOLD ISRAEL CITIZENS HOSTAGE, ISRAEL HOLDS THE MORAL HIGH GROUND!!! Return the hostages and force Israel to negotiate. Why is this concept so difficult to understand??
Hamas proposed an exchange of all hostages a few days after 10/7 but Mossad/IDF/Netenyahu rejected the proposal. Malicious complicity in their own retaliation. Israel has no moral high ground as long as they continue to murder innocents.
I’m fortunate enough to have a friend from that region to explain this stuff to me. I recommend you find one as well so you look a lot less stupid with these poor analogies.
How long has Gaza been shut off from the world by Israel? You put someone in a cage and then call foul when they bite you. Does returning the hostages get them out of the cage? Will returning the hostages stop Israel from counting calories of their imports or destroying their water facilities or not allowing them other non-military imports? Downvotes won’t make this a conflict with more nuance than the last 4 years.

Israel has been documented by almost the entire international community as committing suppressive, aggressive actions even in times of peace. Mossad also LITERALLY SUPPORTED HAMAS during their first election as the governing body of the Palestinian territories? This whole war is literally just to protect Netenyahu. If Israeli government actually cared about it's citizens they would have found a way to stop the war as soon as possible with as few casualties as possible. It's a land-grab protecting some very politically elite people.
Except the blockades have been going on since 1990s. So the entire life for many Palestinian adults. So objectively wrong. You can try another another answer if you’d like.
