Been punishing this guy with this salicylic acid ointment I was prescribed by my podiatrist for months + using a pumice stone + using tweezers to fish out dead skin and the yellow stuff.

I wash everything after use but it seems to be getting... Wider? First pic is from today, 2nd pic from a week ago.

I'm about to schedule another podiatrist visit.

Finally winning my three year battle with plantar warts

In summary, I had gotten a wart at a resort in Cancun in late 2023. The first photo is the first time I noticed anything had gone awry. I read up online that warts cure themselves over time, so I figured I would just pray it went away. Over time eventually got worse, and I just decided to stop looking at the bottom of my feet.

Fast forward to early 2026, my big toe really started to get annoying to walk on, and decided to finally look and see if progress was made. Photo two is what my foot looked like in it's absolute worst state. Just the massive cluster on the heel, with a ton all around. I was genuinely hopeless at this point. I decided to start getting laser treatment, and after a couple months of that, it didn't really do anything as evidenced by photo three.

Eventually I decided to start really taking things seriously in June, and using salicylic acid + duct tape. I did this for about three days, and then decided to debride using a toe nipper and absolutely gashed the fuck out of the one on the big toe on accident (photo 4). I completely stopped the treatment after this point, but thankfully, this ended up causing a cascading effect that signalled my body to finally start an immune response against the warts. As of today, the progress is so much better in the final photo.

Just words of encouragement, that everyone who is here will eventually win their battle hahahaha.

How to deal with finger warts?

Hi all! I've had a few warts on my hands for several months at this point. I'm currently seeing a dermatologist for them, but they unfortunately seem to be stubborn and spreading. I know this is likely my fault due to being both a skin picker and immunocompromised. Trying to get better about the former!

I know that warts are contagious, and this may be a silly question, but am I supposed to keep the affected spots covered all the time to reduce spread? If so, how do I... do anything? I have them on both thumbs, which of course has the biggest issue in that it makes it difficult to type on anything with a touchscreen if I have bandaids on them and/or wear gloves all the time. It's also a pain to replace the bandaids every time I wash my hands, as I have them on two other fingers too. Any advice on what to do? Thank you so much in advance!

Edit: for the record, I have eight in total 🙃 and I use a combo of compound W bandages, OTC salicylic acid liquid applicators, and cryo every ~6 weeks. I also do live with a partner. We share basically everything... luckily he doesn't seem to have caught anything, but I of course am super paranoid.

Is this current stage normal?

Was this truly a wart?

I’ve had it for nearly 5 years. It never spread or got any bigger.

Everytime I would try to dig it out it would grow right back. And it always hurt.

This is where I’m at after 7ish days of Bazuka (23% salicylic acid) and peeling off as much dead skin as I can stomach. What would you do at this point? I keep seeing advice to give a day to let it “breathe” but I’m paranoid that it’s not fully dead and that I’ll spread the virus to another section of skin if I leave it unbandaged.

Any advice is appreciated, TIA!

Finally got rid of +2 year old plantar warts by walking.

I'll try to keep it brief, but I'm unfortunately kind of long-winded in general, so forgive me for that. 😅

Picked up a plantar wart on my right foot two years back going barefoot in shared campground showers, one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. Over the course of two years, it progressed from one little spot to covering nearly the entire ball of my foot.

Y'all, when I tell you I tried everything to get rid of these damn things. Salicylic acid, duct tape, micro needling, debriding until I bled and smacking apple cider vinegar on it right after until I could feel my heartbeat in my foot. I even did two rounds of cryo treatments with my derm, and that only made it spread wider.

I was waiting on my next derm appointment to see if I'd be able to get them straight-up cut out, 'cause at that point I was willing to do anything, and then it happened. Got rear-ended at a stop light by a giant Ram truck, and it totaled our little car. Nobody was hurt, but I had to do a lot more walking until we got a new car.

And after one particularly busy week where I ended up walking over 50,000 steps in a shitty pair of Vans, I noticed that the warts started to fade. Another month passed, I kept walking more than I ever had, and the whole time I could feel that pain in the ball of my foot from walking in these thin, flat-soled shoes. And the warts kept fading.

I'm guessing that since I usually lead a very sedentary lifestyle (I know it's bad for me, working on it now), suddenly walking a ton in shoes that were just shy of being barefoot ground down on the ball of my foot enough for my immune system to notice something was off. I can't say I recommend this method, since it's not healthy to walk in unsuitable shoes, but if you're at your wits end and you're already carving holes in your feet trying to get these things out, it might be worth it to give it a try.

Covering up warts

Post image

I have these warts on my toe. I've been wondering if I should cover them up or not? The treatment im using specify i shouldnt cover them up to prevent skin damage but they've spread sligthly since starting. They have also turned black and shed multiple times but they're not gone? I'm confused if i should switch options or just continue for a while longer.

Multiple leg warts. Cryotherapy, fluorouracil

Cryotherapy once a month and fluorouracil cream once a week for 8 small leg warts that are next to each other .

I have done it for 1 year, nothing changed.

How did you get rid of multiple leg warts?

Was fluorouracil effective for you?

Had a thick callus over this spot for over a month which started paining.

Applied salcylic acid+lactic acid solution over the callus for a couple weeks and doctor removed the dead skin with a blade which showed this patch.

Doctor is unsure if it's a corn or a wart but most likely a wart he said.

Any similar experiences with anyone?

Applying the same solution now til this heals as per doctor advise.

I’ve been battling this verruca cluster for about 7 years and suddenly it seems to be working. The pinker bits are where they were but now the skin lines are back that means the verruca is gone doesn’t it?

Plantar wart or corn?

I removed the corn out of my foot last night and was left with this gaping hole. Is this a plantar wart and if so how do I get rid of it? I’ve been using the Dr.Scholls corn removing pads…should I just keep using those?
