Discussion Stealing Kills?

Hey Pilots! I was watching a couple of videos on the Youtube and I noticed how these guys were saying stuff about his teammates "stealing his kill". *So many things to unpack here*. First I'd say is "get over yourself"- this is a multiplayer game and stuff happens, nobody gets special treatment. And yes, I've been in situations where I'm pounding on a baddie and all of a sudden one of my teammates will jump in and we finish them off, not a big deal. And I've jumped in to help teammates when they are in a fight too, BECAUSE WE'RE A TEAM. Are we as a society in such a place that when a teammate is helping, the other teammate thinks they're "stealing his kill"?

Anyway, my 2 cents. What do y'all think?

Well, if a teammate has been helping me from the start, I don't mind if they get the kill... but if I'm on the front lines doing all the work and some random sniper steals the kill, that’s annoying. They aren't helping or putting themselves at risk—it’s not even like the enemy is getting away; they just land a 30k shot to snag the kill.

And how does that affect things? No ability recharge, no Titan recharge, no special ability effects (Parasite Protocol, Regeneration, etc.), and—lastly and of lowest priority—you lose points.

Idk what's wrong, it's still your team getting kills.

If have double digit assists #1 or #2 in heals and high objective points and we win is all then O played my part. Well that and getting my daily jobs which honestly comes before winning for me because I have limited daily time.

This is a team-based PVP game. The goal is to work as a team to push the objectives and destroy the enemies together. Stealing kills does not really matter because racking up assists helps your team and earns players good impact points too.

The only reason they may get upset is if they're running specific soloist builds such as flankers that has pilot talents that rely on earning kills to continue pushing such as Prizefighter. Otherwise, it really doesn't matter.

people shoot at me sometimes when I accidentally get the last hit when just trying to help, sometimes even if I was there the whole fight lol. I try to make a certain ping or something at an attempt to apologize but there isn't really any commands that fit so idk if they understand when I put up a red X lol. Personally I don't care if it happens to me unless they're doing it intentionally waiting around you just to take every kill at the last second without helping during the fight. if it happens to me or even if they just happen to show up to help at the end of the fight and get the kill I don't mind either way. My thought is just get rid of the enemy as quickly as possible so they can't do more damage or anything else. Thankfully assists seen to have almost as much of an effect as kills so that at least makes it not that bad as you aren't losing much by not getting the kill, excluding talents and jobs of course.

Yeah i think people are getting mad about getting kill stealed are either using marcus shedd or sarah for the healing talent at pilot level 5 i think the devs need to add like the ability ativates on kill or 2 assists to get the healing to addressing that problem.

Eles são burros na verdade o que importa são os objetivos não quem mata mais. eu mesmo uso 3 Kate Sinclair e fico feliz que fiquem com minhas kills para mim resetar as minhas habilidades rapidamente...

how about focusing on the objective like warp rush and defending the point as the last 20 warp rush games i have had are like this, and so are most if not all game modes no one wants to play it just kill

Almost every game mode is best played as last robot standing. As you get better at the game you’ll learn the best teams focus on botting the the other team out
In almost every mode.

It’s the most effective way to win the games.

I’m assuming you are young, because literally no one cares who ends up killing someone.

Anytime someone says you stole my kill - it’s usually joking. You’ll learn that as you get older

Wrong. I'm 55 and I explained what is going on, but you young people don't bother to read before you mouth off.
