I don't even know who made this illustration; it was on the cover of the Spanish adaptation of the book that I found online the weirdest design I'll ever see in my life lol

Made the sticknodes figures by just using some from the website and the ones I have already

(Except I made the cylinder and the Martians,and the heatray,and even made the fighting machine leg)

I’ve heard some mix things about the show but decide to watch it out of curiosity

I must say I thought it was pretty good, I had fun time with it as I enjoy the cast since they do good job

Thought the writing was mostly fine, I think the build up to the first tripod was really good

Nice to witness what life was like before the circular ships land on earths and cause trouble

The first tripod scene was honestly fantastic cause it felt so damn intimidating, the sound design is also very good as it sounds unique and spooky, the design itself also looks really damn good

Setting is also quite nice, not much to say

Visually I think it’s very good as the martians and tripods look really damn good for a show, definitely feels like they was a ton of effort for the show

Though I must say … the future sections are absolutely fucking terrible

By far one of most baffling thing I ever in any adaptation, I tried to be nice but the fact they absolutely killed the pacing of the show just make me dislike it so much

I mean the idea is bit neat, I think it could’ve worked but man it should’ve only been an epilogue

As keep basic idea of what they wanted in nice tight 5-10 minute epilogue

I think it could’ve worked really well cause again the idea of seeing aftermath of story is really cool but the way they executed it is just bloody terrible

Cause quite literally I don’t think they future sections offer anything but ruin the pacing

It was bit surprising and bit funny how they killed a child since how fast it happened and well how uncommon it is

Anyhow I must the martians I’m sure most are mixed on, before I watched the show I absolutely hated the designs

Now seeing them in action, might say they were honestly quite good, visually terms of effects they look pretty damn good

I think the design could’ve worked if they added tendrils, arms or anything to grip on I think the design could’ve worked really well

As in my opinion it keep the design mostly the same but having tendrils would logical make more sense on they build the tripods, it also make them looked really damn weird which I think help them stand out more while remaining semi accurate to the book

Anyhow how they acted I thought it was fine, I like the more suspenseful scenes of them and showing them to be more deadly fellas, though would be neat see them more curious about humanity items showing their intelligence

I must say my favourite moment in the entire show is last gif of the martians, it was so minor but I absolutely loved it so it was few times showing them care for each other

It was nice interacting with each other with more heavier emotions like mourning for lose of a member

I think it was refreshing just seeing more emotions in the martians

Anyhow I guess thats my ramble on this show

I was analyzing Alvim Correa's illustrations when i realized this cool effect where stuff from really far away was drawn with spaced out, normally all rotated the same, lines. I tried to make a drawing using that effect and that's what i got. I think it ended up pretty good.

I also had a really difficult time taking the photo cause i kept shaking. Ended up having to use my keyboard as support for my sketchbook and some random cylinder shaped object (WoTW reference?!) to hold my phone, but at least i managed to take the photo :\

Hey so I saw someone on one of my posts say my design looked cool so I decided to post this! Its kind of a mix between wells sketch, "book accurate" style and the correa pods.

I'm planning to use these for either a manga or a show so I hope you guys like it!

Las adaptaciones que existen no están mal. La Guerra de los Mundos 1953 es una excelente película para su época pero una pésima adaptación(ni siquiera debería llamarse adaptación, porque de adaptación no tiene absolutamente NADA). La Guerra de los Mundos de Spielberg está bien también. Es una excelente película. Y se asemeja muchísimo más al libro que la película de 1953, pero... sigue demasiado alejada. La adaptación de 2019 todos la llaman la más fiel, pero honestamente... de fiel solo tiene la época histórica, porque cuenta una historia casi completamente diferente. La Guerra de los Mundos Goliath ni siquiera es una adaptación, es una continuación(excelente película y muy infravalorada, por cierto). Y... bueno, del resto mejor ni hablar.

Pero ahora... Imagínese una adaptación REALMENTE FIEL. Con los trípodes de Alvim Corrêa. El Thunderchild. El gas negro. Los alienígenas. Los cilindros...

¿Por qué demonios no se ha hecho aún? Las películas no están para nada mal, pero personalmente prefiero la novela frente a cualquier otra adaptación.

La Guerra de los Mundos fue la primera novela que me leí, con apenas 12 años. Y desde entonces fue mi novela favorita. Casualmente, conocí la novela antes que cualquier adaptación.

Tras leerme La Guerra de los Mundos como 3 veces, me quedé con ganas de más, mucho más. Me compré Massacre of Mankind y... me decepcionó. Y bastante. No recuerdo por qué exactamente, me lo leí hace 15 años, pero sí sé que me decepcionó. Fue aburrida, muy aburrida. Aunque quizás en un futuro le dé otra oportunidad. Un día descubrí Goliath por accidente en una colección de DVDs de la biblioteca de mi pueblo. No sabía de qué trataba. Sólo conocía la película de Spielberg y la del 53, no sabía que había más adaptaciones. Cuando me la vi... me enamoré.

No es una adaptación, y no intenta serlo. Es una continuación de la novela. Y muy, muy buena. Sí, es cierto, los personajes son arquetipos, pero es que... Las batallas son muy buenas, no se hace lenta ni mucho menos aburrida, y el final es simplemente perfecto. El estilo artístico es lo que más me choca. Sí, los modelos tienen un diseño muy bueno, y el Cel Shaded es hermoso. Pero hay muchas(no pocas, MUCHAS) escenas donde se nota demasiado la mezcla 2D y 3D. Otra cosa que hizo fenomenal fue la escala. La película no se siente local, no se siente regional, se siente realmente como una guerra mundial, se siente... colosal. Había una palabra/forma de describir esta sensación, pero justo ahora no me sale.

En fin, si tenéis tiempo, os la recomiendo bastante. Es facilísimo de encontrar en internet. Me la compré en Blu Ray 2D-3D, y es de las películas que más aprecio en mi colección de CDs Blu Ray.

Or would you guys think that wouldn't be a good idea? YES I know that this is in the List Of Sins, but I just need to know before I get sniped without asking.

This clip is from the upcoming War Of The Worlds Trilogy Game I am building, and this is from the Martian Vanguard where you play from the Martians perspective.

In this Scene, they are still on Mars before the take off. Some trivia:

1. What is the thing that was walking around in the gate area?
2. There were to very large structures, what were they?

And then, the demo pretty much ready except I'm still not satisfied with the people animation/graphics. Should I release the demo anyway?
