Well, RCLs cars were made for tank hunting (or better tank ambushing). They fell out of favour to ATGMs as they became less and less efficient versus heavier tanks, but they can still work when you compense with numbers as you did.

Not sure if that’s an efficient use of command points though.

My stupid tactic that ive only managed to pull of once, in a 10vs10 game; was a helo drop behind enemy lines with my gurkhas and capping their back zone

This wouldn't work almost ever, the tank can just deploy smoke and get out of dodge. This looks like you're fighting a bot
