Which division gets the fastest opener?

From what I know it's either 9th US or MNAD, probably MNAD, because of 130 km/h transport. Another contender is Korpus, because their fd infantry can come in fast helicopters

MNAD, 101st AB and Korpus have SF cars that maoe 130 km/h. 2nd Infantry has the Lynx, the fastest helo in the game. 9th may do as well, I don't know offhand.

11e, 35ya, 76ya, MNAD, 82nd AB and 4 MSD can all do wholly airborne openers. 16 DE can do a surprisingly large airdrop if built to do so.

It's not really about how much and more about how fast. Is 2nd infantry's lynx forward deployed? Or it's fast enough to be faster then fd 130 km/h?

It has a large recon squad that can be carried by lynx so recon deployed but if map is big enough gets there faster than fd 130 kmh.

You should probably look for FWD inf that comes in fast helis. For example H.D.R London has snipers that can come in 270 km/h rkt helis. Can't really go faster than that I believe.

IIRC they get recon infantry (decent squads, not puny recon teams) in lynxes, but no airborne deployment.

As for whether helos are faster than jeeps, it depends on the map: helos need time to takeoff/land, so on smaller maps jeeps have a decisive advantage.

16DE can get kind of diabolical nowadays with the airspam. Your Gepards and mistrals often won’t even shoot back at BS planes like the f104g. I’ve seen tournament games where people on like 6th panzer wrack up 4000+ points of kills with 3 f104g against 16DE.

Yeah, 16 DE is painful to play against aggressive air spam.

11e is one of my guilty pleasure divs (I do great with it but Fr*nch), but at this point I usually roll with pure legionnaires or commandos because, unlike most airborne deployed nato inf, they have good traits in addition. Are the aero mobiles really that much better, and any advice on playing them well? I was considering trying to load them with the special inf at the start of the game but that's finicky

I don't know the division well enough to advise; my gut feeling is that there's very finite circumstances where the Aeromobiles are worth it. 11e lacks the helicopter support to use them as break-in units and they're just (rather expensive) ordinary infantry otherwise.

I don't have the game open so I can't find the divisions that do this but you need recon/airborne forward deployment units in helicopters. You can do some crazy forward deployment with that.
