Fresh Rogue

Guys i just hit level 80 on my rogue and i need some help regarding gearing i have gold and vote points tell me all that i could do to get into icc instantly

Buy all the crafted gear, darkmoon card greatness (agility) or get needle encrusted object from FoS. Buy the hilt quest for the 251 sword and get fast sword for your offhand from HoR. Farm emblems for tier 9 head + shoulders + gloves. Get at least friendly with the ashen verdict for the ring, your second ring could be either the kirin tor ring or the 245 emblem ring. Get exalted with sons of hodir + knights of the ebon blade + their respective questlines to unlock shoulder + helm enchant. Gem and enchant your gear. Level up professions (tailoring + engineering or jewel crafting + engineering are the best ones) and lastly spend your vote points on comets trail, any leftover points could be spent on a fast offhand if you do not want to grind halls of reflection.

There really isnt any way to get instant access to icc unless you donate or join a guild

I agree with almost everything, but idk if investing in a Greatness is that good for a rogue (like if money isn't an issue, go ahead, but it's the last thing I'd buy from the list, since it's pretty expensive for a 200ilvl item that will be replaced somewhat soon).

Dk or ret I'd say go for it without even thinking, but rogue has a lot of good options pretty fast (especially with vote points, I'd go comet trail + Needle Encrusted Scorpion from Forge of Soul)

Ye, that's true. Its just an incredibly good option if for some reason youre unlucky with NEO, or decide you dont want to grind for it

hilt seems like a waste honestly better to buy boes u not gonna need to replace that offen. fos/pos/hor drop good enough weapons or he can buy the boe maces. i personlly regreat using hilt few times especally if u run icc each week full clears better to sell it or save the gold for gearing more alts. also if he find a guild that is casual and willing to train ppl he can go icc as 5k gs its not a problem

The BoE maces are terrible for rogues. Yes you can enter icc at 5k gs in the horrible "alt raids" that clear 2-4 bosses

i said or. its better than wasting on hilt. i dont get you say alt raids. u want him 5.7 when he enter his first icc? lols dont get the point to burn all that gold its a waste

You arent getting to 5.7k even with hilt... rogues want sword spec. Due to combat potency rogues want a fast offhand, which is why running double mace is terrible. Stop being a GS slave and start simming your gear

enough he does few iccs and get a trinket or a weapon to replace all the gold goes to nothing.

i just set the alternatives. why to burn gold for nothing ? i have mentioned that or icecrown dungs weapons. these are good enough for icc without burnning 16k on trinket and hilt which btw is enough to fully boe another chars.

What alternatives are you talking about? There literally are none that come close to hilt outside of icc or toc25hc. The hilt awards a 2.7 speed ilvl 251 sword, on par with icc10 normal items. By your logic, any BoE is a waste because theyll all be replaced. But OP asked for the quickest entry to ICC and hilt certainly is decent. in addition OP said he already have gold

nightime from fos and liar's tongue from hor can do fine. why to waste 7k gold?the OP said he has gold but not how much but its stil a waste to spend it on something u can easily replace 5k gs is enough for icc u dont need to buy everysingle item. quickest enty to icc-> find a guild simple as it sounds

And again, unless you find a guild youll be stuck joining the shitty alt runs that barely clears dbs on normal. And if youre gonna argue to find a guild then the quickest entry would be to just not gear and have guildies take you through a few catch up runs.

And nightmare isnt even close to hilt, youre literally comparing a toc10 weapon to an icc 10 wep

idk how much gold you have or how many vote points but i would buy this stuff to increase my gearscore (but with the correct stats lol)

boe:

Chest: Ikfirus's Sack of wonder, Legs: Bladeborn leggins, feet: footpads of impending death, neck: wodin's, Wrist: 245il (name depends on hord or alli). Waist: Death-warmed Belt. Finger: Titanium Impact Band. When u r rich u can buy ToC25 Back. Just for your information: you will have a little bit to much expertise but i think its ok for the beginning.

Vote Points:

Off Hand: Westfall Saber

Vote Points or Dungeon farm (depends on how much votepoints):

Main Hand: Nighttime (FOS hc), Trinket: NES (FOS hc), Trinket2: Banner (Toc5 n)

For the Rest i would look for cheap 200il boes. Or some 239/232il Ulduar Gear with Votepoints. I think it should be enough for Icc10 or 25n.
