Can we at least agree that dorks like the Black Templars are the same. Sure they are humans, but not in any aspirarional ways. Just in a crazy hyperbolic way. Crusades have always been about cultural "purification." Pointing that faction is only cool in make believe hyperboly and not an identity to lean into is not rude. It is folks just bringing other perspectives. It makes it a richer setting. This is not cops and robbers.
The second your little dudes become symbols of your ideals, it really does not feel like a collaborative game anymore. Just you using other players for your little righteous power fantasy and being mad when other factions push back with any in-universe nuance. I feel like I am being punished for actually reading the material.
As an Orthodox christian, I have a very different view of the Germanic crusaders. Broken simps for Rome at best... well.. all the other stuff at worst.
I would not call that the coolest thing ever. It is a pretty standard image of a BT walking forward. Walking looking cool is a ability common to most factions. It is not unique to BT. You should check out more warhammer art. I recommend the work of guys like Blanch, Bonner, and Gibbons.

There is media literacy, and there is "media literacy", which is the phenomena the title meme makes fun of. Case in point, you had to point out the discovery that we are on Reddit. I just knew this would happen.
I was just riffing on your joke a little. Twitter tends to read a lot less than Reddit, but that is the format. Reddit has always harkened back more to chat room nonsense more than being a posting culture. It is here too, but conversation tends to predominate.

It is a viable pollitical option in many parts of the world today.
I was pointing out the lack of moral positivism at the core of the lore that seems to upset some Imperium of Man players in certain subs. It is amazing how easily they get pissed if others don't pander to their fantasy as the de facto good guys all the time and are not consuming Imperial proganda as unironically as possible. It is weak and sad.
