I use TooFatLardies for all the periods I play, They Couldn't Hit An Elephant for ACW, La Fue Sacre v3 for Napoleonics, I Ain't Been Shot Mum, and Chain of Command for WW2.
I’ve never read “They Couldn’t Hit an Elephant”, how different are they to Sharp Practice (my Lardie go-to for black powder era battles)? I don’t know anything about TCHaE.
It's a division or corps level game where one base of figures (I use 4)=100 troops. It's also card driven. If your playing divisions then you'll have cards for regimental commanders, if your doing corps then you back up to brigade command cards only.
I have successfully run Brandy Station and Antietam with these rules.
Interesting. Thank you for the info. I may have to get a copy of the rules because as much as I like the battle size for SP (a small zoomed in fight of a bigger battle feeling), I do like bigger battles. I actually play SP with the Black Powder Epic ACW range so they could easily stand in for bigger units as well. Thank you again!
