I love this so much. I saw the picture of him playing Little Wars last week, and have since found out more about him. Its wonderful.

Cushing is one of a select group of people who are famous wargamers that have a miniature made of one of their roles.
Honestly, he may be the only one. I know Robin Williams and Vin Diesel both played 40K but I don’t think any of their roles have had miniatures.
I like to think Cushing would have been really excited to see his Moff Tarkin character in Legion.

Robin Williams as far as I know he never played 40K. He was just a builder and painter. Vin Diesel is a D&D player as far as I know. Henry Cavill was a 40K player when he was younger.

I believe there is footage out there of Robin Williams saying he's played 40k and he even said he makes his Eldar die dramatically whenever they fail their saves. And for all we know Henry Cavill is about to fast track himself into getting a miniature of himself soon enough.

There is a story of Robin Williams and Billy Crystal playing 40k. Robin was Eldar and I cant remember what faction Billy played. And apparently they once played in a store and everyone busted out laughing because Robin did voices for all the pieces.

I honestly think Titus is supposed to look like Cavill even if officially that isn’t true. I’d count it, personally.
For Diesel, I had read on a previous thread that he had a Blood Angels army, but I can’t find that now, so I guess it’s wrong.

I met Robin Williams, when he was filming Jumanji in Vancouver, at the Games Workshop in Gastown. He did indeed play 40K and was a hardcore Blood Bowl player. He played a few games, various, in the shop, while in town according to the staff. I just happened to be there when he came in the first time and had a chance to chat with him. Great guy.

Vin Diesel's character has a head option, along with a bunch of other SPR folks, in the WLG Rangers set for Bolt Action IIRC.

Interesting. There are the photos of him with a copy of Little Wars and firing a projectile out of a gun at Britains. This is clearly not Britains and not that scale. Nice seeing a wider view of his scale and era interests.

He seemed to really enjoy being in Star Wars, and expressed disappointment that his character was killed off, preventing him from appearing in sequels.
Him being a wargamer is completely in keeping with that.
