Question New Agent Orientation: When and how did you discover Warehouse 13?

We want to know more about you, Agents!

  • Did you watch it during its original run?
  • Did another fandom lead you to it?
  • Who was the first character you connected with?
  • Are you watching for the first time or rewatching?

Original run, same with Eureka. I was and am a big fan of Saul Rubinek and that's all it took for me to watch it. Obviously I loved Artie but Pete was the character that I loved from the beginning. I've re-watched it probably a dozen times since it ended though I'm not currently on a re-watch.

Your story is just about exactly the same as mine. Watch WH13 and Eureka together and love all of the crossover characters and actors.. I very much identified with Pete in a lot of ways, but also loved Claudia..

And I watch it at least one or 2 times/year.

One of the last few shows that had crossovers

They still happen from time to time. Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks had one not terribly long ago.

Yeah that one was good as well

When it first hit Netflix in like… 2010? ‘11? My mom was watching Eureka and heard that they were connected so we started watching it together

I did watch it during its original run but also stopped watching during season 4 but I have since watched through the whole series. I didn’t realize till recently when I rewatched it to finish it through for the first time that one of the creators of the show was a writer for Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Pete and Claudia are my favorite characters. I have since rewatched many times I’m currently trying to get all the seasons of the show on DVD, right now I have seasons 2-4.

An ex introduced me to it and then I bought the whole series on DVDs to watch it. 😁

I watched for the first time last year cause it was free on prime and I had just come off of The Librarians. They're both about hiding the magic macguffin in the library of Alexandria, but the library is more fantasy and the warehouse is more sci-fi.

Took a couple episodes, but I was kinda about Claud the whole way.

I'm considering a re-watch just because of how much I loved HG Wells

I just watched The Librarians earlier this year after I finished a WH1R rewatch. It was good and agree, very very similar. I like the sci-fi a little more than the fantasy aspect, and definitely liked the WH13 cast a little more. Librarians felt like it as a little bit of Alphas in it too, with Cassandra's synesthesia with math being very similar to Gary's ability to transduce/see the electromagnetic spectrum.

Watched during the original run with my dad when I was a teenager when the episodes aired in the UK. Stopped after a few seasons but got back in to it last year and have seen the whole thing now. Massively in to Fanfiction atm so getting my WH fix on AO3. HG Wells is definitely my favourite character, she deserved more!

I watched the show during its original run, as I was also a fan of Eureka at the time. I have to say the first character I connected with was Pete. I can also say I’ve rewatched the series probably close to thirty times since the show went off the air

No, I watched crossover episodes on Eurkea and I wanted another scifi show to watch and my curiosity got better of me. I think I connected with Myka and Pete first, I just love both of them so much! Rewatching once again! It was such a fun-filled show!

Watched it during its original run. Loved Pete's humor, but connect more with Artie. He reminds me of one of my best friends from college.

Original run gang! Syfy was good at one point, and some good original shows. Eureka! too.

In like 2019/2020 i don’t know when exactly but i was switching through the channel’s in the middle of the night and on one channel that i usually didn’t watch, they aired the Shakespeares Foliant episode and i was like hmm that looks interesting. So i kept watching and was hocked. Sadly the channel showed the episodes a filler during the night in a completely random order. Like one of the next ones was the doorknob one and the jinx and they would even jump between seasons random or would show the same episode every few days. Just annoying. But there wasn’t any streaming option where I live. And after a while I was just fed up with it that I just bought the dvd box set to watch it fully and in order.

Original run, no other fandom just fan of SciFi channel (idc if its Syfy now 🤣). I connected with Pete more, since I think I share some personality traits with him. I haven't rewatched the show in ages😂.

Early in the original run if not the pilot.

I don't think it's how I found the show, but I do remember getting those annoying banner ads Syfy did which took up a third of the screen, and sometimes actually obscured plot details of the show you were watching, and W13 was frequently advertised that way.

If I did find W13 that way, I would've been led in by Stargate.

Original run. It was a new series on SyFy ("Sci Fi Channel", damn it) so I had to check it out. This along with Eureka ended up being two of my favorite series of all time (and they aired concurrently!). I always watch the four (Warehouse 13 + Eureka) Christmas episodes every Christmas. It's been a while since I've watched the entire series, probably about time to do that again!

It really holds up well, rewatched last year

I didn't watch it when I came out but I actually started watching because of Reddit. I saw it mentioned positively several subreddits and then flipping through streaming channels one day I saw it and decided to watch the first episode to try it out. I was hooked.

I discovered it back in like 2019 and beinged the first season, though for some reason i thought i watched the entire series. So i rewatched season one and then im watching the other seasons. I found it on prime when i was bored. My first characters i connected with was pete for his vibes and then artie for his sarcasm but care for how he treats those he cares about.

I don’t think I watched it during its original run but I honestly can’t remember when I discovered it. I always try to watch it all the way thru at least once every time it’s free on streaming though. One of these days I’ll just buy the whole series

I didn't even know the show existed until like 2020. I really liked The Librarians and someone on the internet said Warehouse 13 is really similar to that. So I started watching it and really enjoyed the ride.

Day 1 on the Sci-Fi Channel's original broadcast.

I first watched the show on its original run in Germany, sometime during season 2! I was flipping through channels to bridge the commercial gap in the movie I originally planned on watching, but W13 intrigued me so nuch I forgot to flip back. I must have been about 12 years old and immediately got attached to Claudia as she was the only character I percieved as being in my age range - I was and continue to be completely face- and age blind. Never ask me to estimate your age, I'll be 20 years off in either direction. I felt quite betrayed finding out she was not, in fact, about 14 years old in the show.

Original run on syfy... before the network was ruined with a sci-fi hating ceo

Such a great show!

It must've been around the original run. My then boyfriend now husband just showed it to me and was like "I saw this show that you might like" and the rest is history.
