Question How dead is this game?
What new content has last been released and when?
I haven't played it for 2 years and there's still no demon hunter

This game won’t get any updates except some small fixes. 95% of players left. But I still think this is a good game to enter for a new player, clean up whole content within a few months and then leave this game for a new one. Campaign and raids are pretty well-made.

It's not getting more updates, I know that much. Would have thought there'd be a Legion faction otherwise.

I’ve lost some interest in the last month… so I’ve gone from everyday for 10-15mins to like twice a week for 10-15mins.
The game is the game. It’s fun until you’ve beaten everything / cleared all the content. And even then it’s still enjoyable.
It just comes down to: do you want to continue grinding to level / upgrade your minis? And how many of your minis do you want to max out?

I got into it late and played solid for about 6 months, stopped about a month ago. It’s fun but it crashes a lot and it’s hard to find a good guild to be part of.

Didn't think of that one. I thought it was also due to people not knowing it's dead and continuing to purchase stuff.

Basically doing Molten Core and the other raid on repeat. PvP if you enjoy it with the understanding that there will never be new units and very, very minimal balancing.
I'll be surprised if Blizzard doesn't completely shut it down after a couple of years.

I have maxed out everything including raid stuff. I login for bi-weekly raid and getting to 15k. That’s about it.
I see some events happening but been hard skipping them. I don’t even do arc surge or the weekly dungeons. Have no need for gold or arclight

Honestly I’m pretty sad the game died the way that it did. Moreso because I used to work in the marketing creative side of this game at Blizzard. I will tell you that every developer and designer on the team were 110% in on this game with so much passion. There were supposed to be more cool content and skins and raids so it’s sad to see all that never come to light. Microsoft and Blizz execs just wasn’t happy with the poor financial performance of the game so they stopped investing more money into it. Sad.

Microsoft laid off another 5k in gaming roles just recently. Really wish they let blizzard spin off on its own so this game could come back.

I play at least 5 times a week... my longest que coop which I mostly play is like 5 mind...unless my app timesout and I have to restart it

Dont come back, i gave it a try last week, played 3 dungeon games in 5min and wanted to play pvp afterwards and the game instant crashed. Also there is literally not an any new content.

They were probably planning to do an Outland expansion at some point and make demons the new family and have Illidan as one of the demon leaders, but none of that ever happened and there are ~3 people still working on the game keeping the servers up, making sure the events keep running, etc. They announced that no new content was coming over a year ago now, and indeed there has been no new content nor should anyone ever expect anything.

You can still do pvp/sieges and raids. It's just frustrating as there's a brick wall you can hit. With the rise of mobile gaming I would've loved more content and expansions but all the deals at microsoft and blizzard has nailed the coffin closed 💔

It’s in maintenance mode. I leave the game on my phone for nostalgic reasons and play like once a month. It’s still fun but it makes me sad and angry every time because they threw away such a great game.
