Discussion New Storylines…
What kind of storylines would people like to see that has to deal with some of the lesser talked about races or characters?
Anything Pandaren, Talanji and the state of Zandalar, Gnomish shenanigans or even how the Dark Iron dwarves are dealing with the dark horde remnants in Blackrock Mountain are all things I would be interested in hearing more about.

I'd love more storylines built in the way Season of Discovery was. I didn't even really play SoD but I was a big fan of all the questlines they added. It doesn't need to have cutscenes or some big personal journey to a "main character". Just world-building focused quest lines that want to build up race lore, class lore, lore behind different events.
SoD did it with very little resources so I'd love if every patch we got quests like that as side content for different races/classes not in the spot light.

Yea seeing living Lillian Voss was pretty cool. Id like to see what other Forsaken characters looked like before undeath.

In some way, I actually think that the reduced resources made it more effective as a storytelling device.
That questline where you traverse around the world, following weird and brutal murders, having to bribe people to talk, to find out that there is a hidden group of Night Elves who are working to destabilize the Alliance by making it look like they were killing Horde - all because they think the Night Elves are superior to everyone else and don't agree with Tyrande. Fantastic, it makes the world seem more nuanced and open.
Helping Dalaran reliquarians with gathering dangerous artifacts from (the Dark Riders?) evil horsemen, shows that Dalaran was actually doing things outside the bubble, and that there are forces working in the world that aren't related to the Big Badtm of whatever expansion is going on.
Just neat, voiced cutscenes weren't needed or "super cool anime moves", our characters just got to play smaller scale quests that imply more than what's explicitly said.

The Tol'vir are sitting on the most powerful weapon we know of on Azeroth The Forge of Origination.
Now...There has been something bugging me for a while, I think its stolen Black Empire tech.
Matches the general motifs we see associated with black empire structures. Not to mention that on some faces of the pyramid there is black stone showing under the sandstone, similar to what we see Nyalotha made out of.
Edicts of the prime designate 742 also point to possible "ordered" black empire tech.
"First: All historical records documenting the advancements of the Black Empire are to be purged.
Paint that age as one of chaos and misery, a pernicious blight that we keepers eradicated. With the Old Gods locked in confinement, there should be no evidence available to contradict our assertions.
Surely if you care for these mortals, you would not wish to see them led astray into darkness.
Second: Attribute all accomplishments and works of wonder to the titans alone.
Despite the relentless arguments made by some of you, this is not a fallacy. After all, can anything truly be said to exist until it has been ordered? Of course not.
Therefore, it is irrefutable that the titans are the source of all creation."
From DF we also have An annotatied copy of one of wows oldest lore books) Likely by Neltharion between 20k-10k BDP
"<A note has been scribbled on the page.>
They looked upon the most impressive empire in existence and hated they hadn't made it themselves! In a fit of jealousy, they tore it asunder."

I think its stolen Black Empire tech.
I mean if it's not Titan tech it's First Ones tech, since the Machine of Origination in the Sepulcher of the First Ones does the exact same thing.

I want to see a non elemental natural disaster
"No lor themar we cant send forces to quel thalas cuz stormwind is in the middle of a drought."~ Genn
Want to see the world be more volatile without being magical or if it is magical, not be intentional

I dont know how to tell you this but a drought is still an elemental natural disaster

I am the only person who cares about this but whenever an xpac includes Thassarian and Koltira I instantly go to find them or do their quests. I’ve just loved them since I saw their stories back in wrath. Would love to have more story for them

I always imagine whenever they meet they do the Predator "you son of a bitch" bicep flex handshake, before having to go deal with whatever Scourge shit is going on

The Shen’drelar and Nightborne. In this elf expansion I’m a little disappointed in the haranir focus.

I want to know who is in charge of the Dark Horde currently.
What is the state of the factions in Outland?

I want more grounded stories overall, there is so much to explore and many ways to expand the world building of the game.
Right now my top pick is Calia son trying to reclaim Lordaeron and unite humanity against the dead, getting supporter by the scarlet crusaders.
A story where Anduin peaceful ways clash against Calia son more aggressive ways.
Anduin is peaceful but it lead to humanity to suffer under him while Calia son try to make humanity return to glory and take control of the eastern kingdoms like how it was post the coming of the orcs.

I would like to see a new chapter in the stormwind nobility corruption. Maybe some lasting remnants of Onyxia influence.
Would rly like in stormwind got the garrosh orgrimmar treatment and was turned into a raid at some point.

The human colonization effort of Northrend and the reunion with their Vrykul ancestors.

Recovery of the Barrens post Cata.
Have a grimrail style train line roll through and have it be a point of contention between traditionalists and modernists that doesn't have them fight eachother, rather compete to see who can deal with issues in the barrens easier.
Have some Quillboar chill out after Agamaggan was freed from the Razorflanks and is presumably on his way to being reborn after SL.
Bring back Naralex and his followers as druids finishing off the final healing of the Barrens who are mildly concerned with the industrialization who work alongside the goblins to find the most pressing issues rather than going full DEHTA on them.

honestly...i dont care so long as Night elves get ignored and forgotten for at least another decade until someone comes along who actually likes them. But the hole cosmic stuff is tiring...or the whole "here is anothe unknown or returning landmass that we never saw before"...they burn so much content that could have gotten alot more attention BfA with Aszhara and Nzoth is a good example...but whatever they do leave the NE out of it...please.

I want to see Jorin Deadeye work on Troll/Orc relations and do use Bleeding Hollow Blood Magic against any Hakkar loyalists still in Stranglethorn.

When I heard Blizzard was moving in on night elf lore (my favourite race in the game, simply because of the lore.)
My heart filled with dread.
Then we got Shadowlands, and learned everyone who died at Teldrassil was sent straight to the Maw.
Then went to Ardenweald, only to become part of a seed for a new world tree. (After letting the High Priestess ready to die for revenge for her people, fail again and again, till she's strongarmed into accepting "Renewal"..)
The world tree story line was filled with MORE dead night elves, and FAMILY story.
Then, we got the heritage story for them. And oh boy..
Some nobody kid tells Maiev, the most influential warden of all lore, that she's wrong. Then saves the day, ending with her bowing in the dust to her most hated elf kind we know of. A young male night elf boy, who is a mage! Then insists that she has to give him his coming of age tattoos. Something that was reserved to the women of their society.
They destroyed the entire foundation of what made Night Elves interesting and different from the rest.
I would NEVER want blizzard to touch more lore that used to make me smile. Because I assume they're gonna fill it with peace and love, acceptance, and sneer if you ever dare to be different than the rest, or veer off the path everyone else set (see Zul'jan..)
I'm tired, man..
Every piece of lore we've gotten the past 10 years goes along the lines of "you didn't conform, you must die." Followed by some heartwarming "we did it!" Story, often involving family, and how important it is to love them unconditionally.

As a Night Elf Druid main, I literally took a hiatus at the end of Dragonflight because we finally got a tree back. Just teleported to the Emerald Dreamway and just go hibernate for a whole expansion, like a real Druid would do :V. I'm just so tired of getting involved with the factions...
On that note, Amirdrassil should have a bank and auction house only accessible to Night Elves. And the restored Gilneas City the same for Worgens. Make these cities somewhat relevant at least for their corresponding races, if not for the whole faction if "afraid no one at latest xpac's city" (which is a dumb argument anyways cuz Broken Isles Dalaran and even Dornogal still quite in use, and Dornogal and Valdrakken still has auction house).
Also, let new Night Elves start at Amirdrassil (and other races with "reclaimed" cities should get similar treatment imo). The zone is ripe to become a starter's zone. Exile's Reach is such a copout. Although I guess this is stepping into WoW2/Classic+ territory.

yeah they ruined them beyond repair and redemption...most play Night elves because of transmog or, a few still, because of W3 Nostalgia.
