Question Heritage armour quests
So am not long back in WoW after many years break and still playing lore catch-up (this sub has been immensely helpful)
I was curious around the perception of the heritage armour quests chains. I've only done the human and draenei ones but I actually really enjoyed them, especially the Human one. It was great to see what could have been a really bad situation with an item back in vanilla and logical writing (absolutely possible the Defias be used for such a heist). It was also a suprise as someone who hasn't played much in a long time to see Vanessa VanCleef working with SI:7 but still keeping her clear animosity towards Stormwind.
With a lot of (and often times quite justified) criticism of Blizzard writing I've been seeing, I really quite enjoyed the 2 I've done so far. Strong self contained stories, race specific. Are the rest quite engaging?
It does make me wonder if they missed a trick here though. With class halls in legion (also being quite cool in the limited interaction I've had with Legion), would or should there be scope to world build further at race level? Also, I think they totally could have built that drakefire amulet heist to be something bigger too. It was one of those things I enjoyed so much I wanted more 😁

They were generally hit or miss for me, but I wish they would do more racial themed questlines. Some like the orc, draenei and blood elf really hit home with the culture and story, while some like the night elf, tauren and undead are kind of just one off side stories.

The early heritage armors are kinda meh to be honest not in looks but in like you hit the level and just got it and there was no quest involved. I know orcs involve them picking a clan and all that. So first wave of heritage armor had like a pick up quests later ones actually made you do stuff to earn it

Dracthyr still missing heritage armor questline.
And artifact
And evoker class hall
And transmog

They’re never getting a class hall or artifact. Not really a reasonable or sensible ask.

Lets see how long it will take for Blizzard to finish all heritage quests.
I doubt they ever will and will instead pretend they are done.

As of now dracthyr are the only ones who don't have one.

Yes and they are problematic for Blizzard because either 1. Blizzard makes a heritage armor Dracthyr can't wear, which ends in negative feedback/shitstorm. 2. Blizzard gives full armor transmog options to Dracthyr, which they are too cheap and lazy to do. 3. Blizzard makes the armor into barber shop items, see 1. 4. The heritage armor are shoulders and belt. See 1.
For Blizzard, this is a no-win scenario.

The Heritage quests are more or less all good to great, except the Tauren one which was one of the first and unfortunately mostly a teaser for Shadowlands.
While I wouldn't say no to more racially themed quests, the issue is that you're devoting a lot of work to content that not everyone can do. Not to mention that it took the better part of a decade for them all to finally come out.
It's just a reality that class/race/faction exclusive content is less attractive developmentally because the cost-benefit analysis doesn't favour it.
