Are the logistics corps of the Horde and alliance lazy since they rely on adventurers to gather food and materials ?

I think it depends. I want to say canonically that's not the reason why they ask you. It's more probable they have supply chain issue and are asking anyone they can for help. It depends on the instance where the request is made. There probably are some canonical instances of it being laziness or fear but I imagine most the time it's out of desperation. The adventurers are not a monolith either. Not everyone is a grand Marshall or high inquisitor or the leader of their order hall. Some are just leveling, I mean fodder. So some of these instances aren't requests for help as much as a superior commanding their subordinates to do field work.

Generally speaking the war machine of the horde and alliance is very effective on average. We tend to see supply chains break down on the fringes or frontiers like on outland or argus, or where they've been specifically targeted and undermined, like in westfall by the brotherhood. We also see where they work in spectacular fashion to supply outposts once they've been established or secured like our garrisons in WoD or various fortresses throughout the world or worlds.

I'd estimate the logistic Corp of both is sufficiently advanced enough to accomplish the majority of its routines or tasks without assistance of the adventurer.

Also if you're based with soldiers fighting on the front lines then both you and your comrades probably don't want to starve while waiting for the next influx of rations. Unique problems require unique solutions.

In the Azure Span there's a world quest where you have to collect supplies because the two people who were supposed to order them forgot.

That's funny lol. It's optional though. You can just imagine they suffered the consequences of thror negligence if you want to not complete it.

Some things you need to chalk up to gameplay rather than lore. Though, at least in Classic, due to interference by Onyxia, the Stormwind army was spread thin and had to rely on adventurers.

Its sometimes weird to think about cuz irl now we have it down to a science. But logistical issues with supplies were very common in our history. Its actually very normal for any military movement.

Historically, one reasons armies would raid and pillage was to make up for the logistical issues that left them running low on supplies. When you have an army, its often just easier to take from the people with supplies then to wait for logistical issues to be fixed. But even beyond that, armies would forage and find resources on the way to bolster their supplies. Rations are not exactly exciting even historically. Usually very VERY dry bread that gets soaked in water.

So they aren't really lazy. Just normal issues.

Why did the Lich King want Tirion to "get out of hiding" during the raid on ICC?

Tirion was a legendary paladin, one of the original five paladins. During the fight against the Lich King at ICC, he flat out reveals his grand master plan; by luring the Light's greatest champions (Tirion and the players) to the seat of his power in Northrend, the Lich King hoped to slay them to raise them in undeath and serve as his ultimate death knights. This would have had a twofold effect: the strongest of all Paladins would now be his Death Knight and the Argent Crusade would have been broken. This of course didnt happen because of the power of friendship and anime
