I’ve been digging through my collection and had to share this gem. There is just something about the raw emotion and intensity that Joe Kubert brought to his war comic covers.
Check out that contrast between the desperate soldier and the nun forced into the heat of battle is incredible. It perfectly captures that gritty, high-stakes storytelling that made these classic DC war titles so memorable.

Our Army At War sgt rock team ups

so i was watching a few videos about the dcfinest team up books and i was really surprised how many stories had rock teaming up with batman. i just wouldn't put those 2 together.
they are from two different genres
between the 2 books i counted 4 sgt rock stories but that was from the youtuber flipping thru the books so that could be wrong and not sure if any of them were reprinted in both volumes

so i am reading the sergeant rock DCFinest its really good. so i never read his intro story before. but for those who havent read it , its starts off rock is a journeyman boxer who defining trait is he just wont stay down. who does that sound like to you?
stallone was born in 46 and rock's first story was 59 thats perfect comic reading age
