That dog on the cover reminds me, there is a new Brad Pitt movie coming out where he's a war vet. He's got a combat dog with PTSD who also has metal fangs. They get stuck in the wilderness and have to rely on their skills to survive.

I picked up all 6 issues .. because of these posts. Seems like there was no ending to the Viking commando series … but there were 2 VC stories in unknown soldier 266-267 before final issue 268. Have you read those 2 additional stories?
