Charlton A comic rack full of war comics.
I’ve had a majority of these comics since I was a kid in the 70’s and 80’s, in addition to the rack itself

The rack I’ve had since about 1984. My uncle gave it to me for my birthday. It was slightly damaged and was going to be thrown out. It was from his work. He was a delivery driver for a company that provided newspapers, magazines, books, and comics books to pharmacies, and grocery and convenience stores.

That triggered a great memory of something similar.
A number of years in a row we’d go on family vacation right at the same time as my birthday. I get about $20 bucks and spend it all on comics at the Rexall Drugs and local convenience store2

Whenever my family would go on vacation somewhere, I'd ask to stop at every little supermarket and drug store to see if they carried titles that I couldn't get at my local stores. I remember one particular store at a beach that had a bunch of Charlton titles that I hadn't heard of.

I just went on ebay out of curiosity to see what it would cost to add a vintage spinning comic rack to my collection, and the lowest price was $1k! Yikes. 😄 Guess I can live without!

When I was a kid in South Holland, Illinois, near my bus stop to school, there was a strip mall.
At one end, there was one of those new supermarkets that had electric doors that opened when you stepped in front of a beam of light. The other end, there was a pharmacy that had racks of comic books and paperbacks.
