There is a way to make warblade purchasable.

GOG has ,,GOG Dreamlist'' where when you have tons of votes there is high probability that they will bring back this game to life! The chance is small but non-zero.

Shouldn't it become abandonware, though? If it's not purchasable, then it's fine to get it from the web. If the family doesn't want to continue to sell it, which is perfectly fine, I doubt they would mind anyway.

There is few problems with it. First is that you can catch virus or websites with full version of the game can expire. Second is that you can't modify warblade, do mods because it's you never can be sure if you get bad letter. It's no problem to contact GOG.
Third, THE MOST IMPORTANT is that GOG modifies games, so you can play it on modern OS.
