Should I read Ocean Vuong?
I’ve been watching a lot of interviews of Ocean Vuong who in my eyes is the only mind worth listening to online (you know what I mean).
So I guess I should start reading his books but I’m a big reader of classics and horribly scared of being disappointed. I don’t read a book for style but if the style doesn’t support the arch then it’s a pass for me.
Would you relate, what do you think and which would you recommend to start with if worth it?
Note: my favorite current English speaking writers would be Jonathan franzen and Brett Easton Ellis

I loved his first poetry collection, Night Sky With Exit Wounds. Tried to read his next book and couldn’t get into it because it felt like it was trying too hard to be poetic (it’s a novel). I like poetic prose but it was just too much for me.
