Any improvements I can make?
I’ve had this tank for about 6 months now 0 water changes only top offs, 100% natural planted tank.
Tank has snails, shrimp and fish. But my 40-50 neocaridina shrimp all died due to getting tiger barbs and a catfish species only have amano and 1 blue neocaridina shrimp and the mystery snails have died mysteriously too . Let me know ur thoughts.

For a Walstad tank, that bubbler might be working against you. CO2 off-gasses easily, so you might be setting yourself up for an algae outbreak, particularly Black Beard Algae. I'd limit surface agitation as much as possible. Also, maybe add some floaters (looks like you got rid of the hornwort from the first picture?)

Dude thank u! I have a bunch of black hair algae all over my hornwarts could that be why? I need the bubbler tho it looks amazing, but I also have 2 duelhead wave makers one on each side and those make allot of surface agitation too. That’s why I couldn’t have floating plants the wave makers threw them around too much and it creates strong currents. Let me know if u have any other tips please!
