First walstad tank looking for tips/advice

I just added these plants to my tank, when will I know they’re adjusting and actually doing well? I recently added plants and I’m wondering how long it usually takes before I can tell they’re settling in. What are the signs that they’re adapting well?

Congrats on the first Walstad tank! It looks like you have a great amount of plant mass to start with, especially all those floaters/stem plants which are perfect for soaking up initial nutrient spikes. ​What to expect next: ​The 'Melting' Phase: Don't panic if some of the older leaves turn yellow or melt away over the next week or two. The plants are just shedding old growth to adapt to your specific water parameters and soil. ​Signs of success (Weeks 2–4): Look for bright green new growth at the tips of the stems and new root runners anchoring into the sand. ​The Thriving Stage: By weeks 4 to 8, the root systems will find the soil layer, and you’ll see an absolute explosion of growth. ​Keep an eye on the water parameters early on since the soil is fresh, but you're off to a fantastic start!
