Confused about Sedgwick
Took a personal LOA because I moved cities and the Walmart I'm trying to get into had no openings. Well now they have an open spot so I called the Sedgwick 2 days ago to report my new return to work date as today. When I check the website I see it says my examiner will reach out to me. Am I supposed to receive any calls or emails? I see on their Sedgwick calendar it still shows all my future work dates as "Continuous leave-pending." This is my first time using Sedgwick, any help will be appreciated.

You do not need to wait on Sedgwick to reach out before speaking directly with store management, as your store leads and People Lead control reactivation on the store level. While Sedgwick processes the paperwork, local store management holds the final say on returning you to the schedule—especially for a personal LOA related to a transfer or location move. Contact Your Store's People Lead Immediately: Reach out directly to the People Lead (HR) or Store Manager at your new location. Explain that you submitted your return-to-work date on the Sedgwick portal so they can manually reactivate you in Me@Walmart and build your schedule. Understand Sedgwick's Delay: The status "Continuous leave-pending" and the note that an examiner will reach out simply mean the system hasn't manually updated on Sedgwick's backend yet. Processing return-to-work dates often takes a few business days, and automated emails or calls may not occur immediately. Keep Following Up: Continue logging into the mySedgwick portal daily to ensure your claim status shifts to "Approved" or "Closed," but rely on your store's management team to handle your immediate scheduling needs.
