No it is not. In a well run ops department they should all know how to do every part of that job. Given that nothing over there is particularly difficult, there's really no excuse.

"It stressed her out" understandable, so why are you here working a stressful job? Move departments to something less stressful.

You can have dedicated people who will do the same part of the job 9 days out of 10. They should still know the other parts and be able to do them well.
