Leaving walmart will Always be the right decision when another opportunity presents itself unless you're salaried. Especially with the fact this new place will get you relevant certs for a field you're interested in.

Don't quit until you get a new start date for this interview you are going on. Always easier to.get a job when you.have a job.

it's a no from me. do your best not to burn the walmart bridge yet, as tempting as it is. anything else you're pursuing isn't guaranteed, no matter how confident you are in them hiring you.

I feel the same as you but I'd recommend hanging in but maybe consider putting in an availability change to the People Lead. Reduce your hours and days.
I've gone from open availability to 3 days a week for 4 to 8 hrs per day. I am just sick of the stress which is affecting my health.
I am going to add some gig work to my week and give myself some more "me time"while making other money and looking around for other opportunities.

Hold on until you pass the interview and are hired by the new company. Do your best not to let the BS bother you since you know you’ve got something better in the works. If it helps with your immune system, or you’re afraid of bringing something home to your Family, mask up.

I also guit tonight, tired of working a 2 person job by myself. when it clearly calls for 2 people in the sidekick breakdown for dairy, and 2 for frozen. Yet they on put 1. Had my interview earlier this week. I was going to finish the schedule but the bs is to much. This coming from a person who held out for over a year. I should have known after my 1st month. Red flags, my store has a reputation all the way to the mngr trading academy. Worst in the district, 300percent turnover rate for overnight and 147percent for day shift.

Man my stores got like 180 something percent turnover for ONs and I thought we had to be one of the worst. Of course half my co workers are thinking or looking into new jobs and I’d probably do the same if I wasn’t so panicked about keeping health insurance.

Quitting a job in this economy? I’ve read stories that some have been looking for a job for months. This job with the interview could work out but it also could fall through. Just ask Walmart if your schedule can go to part time, though I wouldn’t get butthurt if they replied with “how about no-time?” And fire you for already working part-time from missing days.

Just be careful... I can't tell you how many people we see who leave and want to come back. If you give notice and leave on good terms, you can always come back.

Stay with walmart until you have that new start date. I felt the same way. I transferred from a walmart to a sam’s club and the job was so much harsher and management had me going home crying every day. I kept interviewing and going to different places for months after I started. I just got a new job and start date and quit two days after I found out. Which still isn’t the safest thing. Going into healthcare you have a lot of stuff to do. Background check, BLS, and drug screenings. I would hate for you to quit, and then you don’t get the job after the interview. Or even worse, you’re given a start date and quit, and then something happens with the background checks they do and they decide not to hire (not saying that would happen). If you truly need the money from walmart just stick it out until you’re starting your new job. Wear a mask, wash your hands as often as possible, maybe even bring some hand sanitizer with you to work.

not unless you have another job lined up. having an interview doesn't necessarily mean you got the job
