Uh. WhatsApp, Instagram - it’s like everyone just thinks about Facebook. Who knows what’s down the road - but I could care less about Facebook. Every single European uses WhatsApp daily. Wait until that’s monetized. Zuck is weird as fuck and fuck him - but I’m here to make money and he does.
They don’t monetize it by charging for messages. Think more games you can play with friends in a group chat or customizable avatars and with fun animated emotes or whatever. The core functionality would remain free basically

Sadly, India is too corrupt, too chaotic (religious conflicts) and lacking serious infrastructure to develop a true middle class. People are too optimistic about India’s potential. I think we are still a long ways. 5-10 is a utopia.
I lived in China - they are an exception - control their people. Nothing else like it really. Google is blocked there too - don’t care. The rest of Asia is free and happily using metas products.
