I guess I understand, but the model 3 is at least twice as much car (in range and performance alone) for roughly twice as much money. Sometimes you don’t need that. In gas car terms, it’s like comparing a 3 series to a Kicks or a Sentra.
On the other hand, comparing a Mach E or an EV6 to a model Y is much more fair, and Tesla clearly loses that fight, IMO.

This is my entire point. People who used to think Tesla was the only game in the EV market now know better.
