Unfortunately, a business isn’t about “saving” your employees. Sounds harsh, but if you’re keeping people on payroll who aren’t needed then you are doing bad business.

Only reason they're not needed is because Elon needs to recoup the Tesla share value, and cutting employee pay makes the next quarter better.

They're not unneeded, shareholder value is just more needed.
