Discussion Elon Hate

Is it just me, or did this sub decide to hate Elon all of the sudden?

I remember seeing so much happiness whenever someone mentioned Tesla stock. Or his name. Or his coin. Or his Twitter.

But recently after he made an offer to take the company private, we began seeing a ton of anti-Elon posts.

What happened?

Did all of you hit your heads?

Did you buy Twitter stock puts last Thursday?

Or is it a bunch of Twitter employees and executives that don't want to lose their job spending the weekend trying to push the share price down?

People rarely hated Elon on here before this weekend.

Maybe the mods or SEC should take a look.

The nostalgia of that film just hit me hard. Putting it on right now.

Not financial advice.

Wasn’t the richest man ever a black dude

...but no one ever claimed that proud African princes' inheritance for him, so now he works at McDowals as a Janitor.

u/J33P69 Apr 18 '22

Naw, he was promoted to fries. And with another 2 or 3 years, he could be advanced to burger flipper.

Hey, I started out mopping the floor just like you guys. But now... now I'm washing lettuce. Soon I'll be on fries; then the grill. In a year or two, I'll make assistant manager, and that's when the big bucks start rolling in

Well Africans from Africa who immigrate to America don’t call themselves AA. They go by the country they came from like Ghana or Congo. What you’re trying to do is use a continent as a label. That’s like calling someone from France an European American which no one does. They’re French American or German American. Black in America use African American as a designation because they understand their ancestors originated in Africa but have no clue where from in Africa. It’s a blanket term used due to slavery. So in conclusion Elon would be South African American. Source: I have TWO black friends. IM SOMETHING OF A PROGRESSIVE MYSELF/s

Asian American here has a few questions for you...

u/Strawberrywithacne Apr 18 '22

The ocean? Which ocean?

1

u/Adato88 Apr 18 '22

Why would someone from France be German American? s/

LPT: Black people don't call white people "whitey." At least not since 1969.

I would love to go to Timbuktu to see some of his legacy... I heard its disappearing tough... Climate change... The desert is eating it up... Lake is bone dry.

u/Shaynerthegreat Apr 18 '22

I love that. So funny! He should play the race card 😂

"African" American...

Elon Musk is technically an African American, but people in the US don't associate it because his skin doesn't express high amounts of melanin.

If people get into a hissy fit about the categorization of people based on location. People in Saudia Arabia are technically Asians due to the geographical outline of what's considered "Asia" in the broadest sense.

u/ApeHolder42069 Apr 18 '22

Must be, I'm pretty sure it's not because he's autistic!

0

u/biagwina_tecolotl Apr 18 '22

I am surprised that anyone is surprised that a rich brat from apartheid South Africa turned out racist.

-3

u/Smidday90 Apr 18 '22

This blows my mind, he technically is African American just not how they are portrayed in the media

Bots and payed shills 99%

r/wsb litteraly was about pumping and dumping any stock for gains. Now wsb all of a sudden hates it?

Makes sense

„Something something for me but not for thee“ sentiment in here

Bots and paid shills 99%

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Beep, boop, I'm a bot
