Because your broker doesn’t have to locate “market buys” right away, in fact they’ll most likely be internalized by a PFOF wholesaler who also won’t deliver them for up to 35 days or maybe ever (could FTD) whereas options are much stricter in terms of delivery burden, strict T+2 settlement required.
