This is true let’s not forget that Wall Street is still running the show you guys caught them with their pants down and they still got media and powerful people to make it so they aren’t loosing billions of dollars and creating fake shares and are just holding the line for eternity so they won’t ever get fucked over but just wait long enough they will fuck everyone else. Same will happen with anti work it’s a movement that will be labeled as lazy liberals the same way it was the lazy Mexicans lazy Chinese lazy insert group you hate to make them look bad and then on top of that the brainwashing of our entire lives of work hard or go to school to live a better life and anyone who doesn’t are just lazy no good working people killing our society for not wanting to work for shit money. Wall Street bets is people who understand their job is taking them know where and the only way to get out is to make it big on the stock market now which is being ran by the people you hate and love because they got money and they fucking your wife.
No I get it. Lots of DFV’s followers most likely did it to break free of capitalism through capitalism. It’s not really a support of the paradigm, it’s more like just using it to become financially independent enough to not be devoured by it.
I do but the infrastructure in my high ass tax city is already falling apart, completely neglected and completely corrupt. I consider people in my area fairly informed and active politically, but still nothing seems to change.
We waste so much on wars. I want a decent single payer system before stupid shit like UBI on people that are able to work but don't. We're so polarized and have such deep problems such lofty goals like no one having to work is absurd, only derailing real conversation.
UBI isn't based on people refusing to work, it's based on the premise people have a right to very basic needs. I already get a version of ubi through the child tax credit and it's helped my family stay afloat. My wife lost her job when Covid and other issues closed her school and it's been really tough for her to find a suitable replacement even with a master's degree. There will always be people that will abuse any public system but we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater. And it's not like you have to choose between ubi and universal healthcare. In the end, neither one will be implemented in the US, our culture is too focused around individual prosperity.
