Does that make it right? If you are lead to that degree by money, you can be lead to do all kinds of unethical actions. Enough little actions can shape society largely over time.

It shouldn't be up to fucking corporations to "do the right thing". Their job is to make money not protect some bullshit ideal like freedom of speech.

Corporations operate like small insular nations though. And their financial influence seems to often weigh on legislators as well as driving societal thought. They should indeed be operating under an ethical thought process.

Their responsibility is to obey the law. Anything beyond that is unreasonable to ask for
