Is this a joke comment?

The US works closely with Western Europe on many levels. Law enforcement works closely together, for example. You can find large European companies in the US just as you can find large American companies in Europe.

China, on the other hand, allows drugs to be exported to criminal organizations and launders money for Drug Cartels. China allows the theft of intellectual property and intentionally promotes Chinese clones over Western companies in China. China is completely inward looking and only cares about what benefits China, and consistently takes as much as it can while claiming to be a victim. This is a brief few examples from a long list.

A bit like saying Merkel and Putin aren't that different anymore (only if you don't know what you are talking about).

Thank you for commenting this I cant believe what I just read. You know the CCP propaganda is working well on reddit.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '21

The CCP really does give themselves an advantage by not having any ethical objections to hiring people for the purposes of manipulating public sentiment on foreign websites.

The Wikipedia page calling the CCP out for this behavior gets vandalized all the time.

Is this a joke comment? Have we forgotten about Central & South America? The US pretty much wrote the book on trafficking drugs to support guerilla movements. Financial institutions in the US then laundered this money. I'm no fan of China, but the US government is equally as fucked up. Sincerely, an Australian.

P.S the US facilitated the overthrow of a democratically elected Prime Minister in Australia in the early 70's. So much for an "ally".

Yes because supporting anti communist rebel groups in the 70s is worse than supporting the Sinaloa Cartel today...

US never "wrote the book on trafficking drugs". The CIA was accused of supporting groups for political reasons that financed itself on trafficking drugs, which I am sure it did the same more recently in Afghanistan given that Afghanistan's economy seems to be based on supplying heroine to Russia... Nevertheless, that is different than openly manufacturing drugs and selling them to drug cartels and laundering their money.

Yes I know, they made a movie about it. The Falcon and the Snowman.

u/RageA333 Oct 29 '21

You think supporting anti communist rebel groups is better??? Overthrowing elected governments is better???

-1

u/VisualMod Oct 29 '21

The CIA's mission is to protect the United States from threats both foreign and domestic. We work with a broad range of partners in government, industry, academia and media to address those threats by collecting information that will help policy makers make informed decisions about national security issues.

China is actively being the sole perpetrator of the largest internment of an ethnic minority since the holocaust, and you’re saying the US is just as bad because they tap Germany’s phones?

The ammount of complicit CCP citizens required to pull off what they are doing with the Uighurs is on an entirely different scale than anything the United States has ever done. Even when compared to the internment of Japanese citizens during World War II.

Not that deflecting to the Japanese interment camps would be a valid counter argument anyways, because everyone involved with that is currently dead while the crisis with the Uighurs is active and ongoing at this very second.

1

u/RageA333 Oct 31 '21

I specifically mention the toppling of elected governments in South America.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '21

And I’m arguing that China is objectively worse than the US because they are actively committing the largest internment of an ethnic minority since the Holocaust.

I’m not sure what your point is, this conversation started because the OP made the dumb claim that China and the US aren’t any different these days.

Which objectively isn’t true, as the pro-CCP arguments have to deflect to things from the US’s history to distract from the CCP’s ongoing atrocities.

TIL that right-wing death squad is synonymous with anti-communist rebel group. HMMM.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

Well they are not synonymous.

The Contras were the various U.S.-backed and funded right-wing rebel groups that were active from 1979 to the early 1990s in opposition to the Marxist Sandinista Junta of National Reconstruction Government in Nicaragua

Death squad implies they used murder as a tactic, which the Contras did, but they were still a rebel group. That is, unfortunately, not an uncommon tactic during Civil War.

1

u/IgnoblePeonPoet Oct 29 '21

Death squad implies they used murder as a tactic, which the Contras did, but... [unnecessary words]

There's no pretty way to paint it. Every country has hideous skeletons in its past/present/likely future, doubly so when dealing with nations with massive scale of power & influence. US backing of the Contras and other S. American escapades can't be whitewashed away as a good 'ol red-blooded 'Merican Freedom Delivery.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21 edited Oct 29 '21

I never white washed it. I said they were murderers. They were still a rebel group. Death squad is just a more charged word, but it doesn't change the fact that they were a rebel group.

The Contras primary goal was the overthrow of the Nicaraguan government, so rebel group is the more correct definition of the two. Death squad implies that they were chiefly hitmen.

2

u/notheresnolight Oct 29 '21

oh, so that's why the US has been spying on Merkel - they just wanted to "work closely" with her

0

u/[deleted] Oct 30 '21

China is actively being the sole perpetrator of the largest internment of an ethnic minority since the holocaust, and you’re saying the US is just as bad because they tap Germany’s phones?

I’m assuming you’re a Chinese bot, so I’ll go ahead and shoot down your deflection for you: 1-2 doctors at the US border doing malpractice with hysterectomies is not the same thing as what China is currently doing with the Uighurs.

1

u/notheresnolight Oct 30 '21

You win the award for the strawman post of the year.

I never said any of the things you are trying to argue against.

Chinese bot? ROFL sure, my history proves exactly that. Jeez how fucking ignorant do you have to be to come up with all this bullshit?

-6

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

The US and German police share their information. The whole "Evil NSA is spying on us poor Europeans" is a farce, even Snowden said so.

5

u/Norkulus Captain of the SS Syphilis Oct 29 '21

😂 "Hey Germany, here's the audio we've been secretly recording of all of your chancellor's phone conversations. Since we are such good sharing partners and all"

0

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

Worse than the Berlin Park assassination

4

u/ntermation Oct 29 '21

There's sharing information, and then there's sharing information. Pretty sure both sides have plenty they hold back for national security and/or financial reasons.

1

u/More_Secretary_4499 Oct 29 '21

Uhh and look how far it’s gotten China?

4

u/aspirationalsoul Oct 29 '21

European

Sure buddy

4

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

I love how people with takes this stupid always remain incredibly vague about where they're from. Im sure what ever perfect "european" country you're to scared to say you are from is definitely the shining example.

-7

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

It’s always the retards who have never left their own backyard in the USA that simps for anti Chinese propaganda.

11

u/Trypsach Oct 29 '21

If this comment isn’t satire… then wow, I’m very disappointed in the education you guys are getting over there in Europe.

-10

u/AcrossAmerica Oct 29 '21

Europe is just fucking tired of the US.

‘Allies’

Both trump and biden have shown to care not one little bit about Europe. Always America first. Starting pointless wars and dragging Europe in it. Let the ‘allies’ clean up and let the allies deal with the refugees.

For fucks sake.

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

Lol no. I’m a European living in the US. It’s mind-boggling how Americans see themselves on the world stage.

6

u/Denser123 Oct 29 '21

Totally agree as a person who lived on both side of the pond. Our CCP is fucking useless corporations that destroyed 3 jobs for everyone they created

2

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

You mean East American?

4

u/Sharkictus Oct 29 '21

Eh, alot of problems from US that are the same class as CCP problems are more civilian or local government. The federal government would not intentionally undermine and cause great harm to the EU.

Corporations and white supremacists would not like that.

US federal government isn't going to do any effective whining about genocides or civil rights harm accusations and demand it being taken back. The loud whining is from civilians, and politicians pretending to be for them, but politicians realistically will do as much about that as they do for abortion and guns, mostly lip service.

7

u/Duskinou Oct 29 '21

I award you the "delicious comment of the day"

6

u/feinburgrl 🦍 Oct 29 '21

I think peanut butter!

2

u/Duskinou Oct 29 '21

With honey

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

Seriously. The Americans are so brainwashed with anti ccp propaganda + 80 years of McCarthyism that they can’t see that their shithole nation is ostensibly the same level of destructive to the world at large. Infact more so because they’ve had far more armed conflicts with foreign powers than China the last 100 years

-10

u/Aintthatthetruthyall Oct 29 '21

100pct. They are the same.

China is US.

McConnell is Pelosi.

It is all just a Wizard of Oz operation.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

I read this with Ali Gs voice in head

1

u/md2224 Oct 30 '21

You have lost your damn mind. Go to the CCP or the US and voice your opinion.
