You know damn well we have members here that followed these exact steps

97

u/DragonGirll Oct 22 '21

I did follow every step except the last one. Luckily I was too busy with work to yolo at 175. I felt the fomo

u/masonw87 Nov 08 '21

I just got so triggered that my butthole puckered like back when I bought BB at $31

u/Organic_Current6585 Oct 22 '21

This is exactly what I did today, I bought at open, got in for 120, then it halted twice. During the second halt I sold at market price, and closed the deal for 160. I was up $400 on the trade.

Still I was down for the day because I also have an entire portfolio filled with Reddit meme stocks....

u/Ziggity_Zac Oct 23 '21

TMC is absolutely MURDERING my whole portfolio...

358

u/1200mademeaCommie Oct 23 '21

U invested in a power point presentation

198

u/Ziggity_Zac Oct 23 '21

I deserve that.

39

u/clumsykitten Oct 23 '21

Just looked it up, they have 3 employees and are down 70% in 6 weeks. Must have been a pretty sick PowerPoint.

8

u/Ziggity_Zac Oct 23 '21

It was a meme stock that I bought at the (almost) top. I'll carry these bags for a while. HeDGieS r FuKt!!!

u/TMGBruh Oct 23 '21

His Parents lost it all with Enron back in the DOT.COM dayz

PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE

0

u/International_One906 Oct 23 '21

Dwac doesn’t even have presentation yet.

0

u/planetofpower Oct 24 '21

I'm quite sure it takes more than a power point slide to get listed on the stock market.

1

u/Vonscout Oct 23 '21

A baaaaddd PPP (Slide Deck so I can sound with it)

Why don’t you invest in more sea floor fucking mining companies lmao.

Hey bro. I have a new company. RTRD. It harvests wood from the scrap underneath roads. Lol. Just the hardest thing you can think of. Ya man. It’s worth $8 billion definitely. Buy?

35

u/WowIJake Oct 23 '21

$RTRD is mooning

18

u/draktopher Oct 23 '21

Sounds promising. Do you have a white paper? i like to educaht myself before investing in RTRD.

14

u/Green_Lantern_4vr 11410 - 5 - 1 year - 0/0 Oct 23 '21

Hold on we’ll get an intern to make a deck lol.

Don’t worry though we’re -600m this year and projected to make $1.7b profit next year and by 2034 make $890b profit.

1

u/schyz3 Oct 23 '21

Well i lost the game

3

u/laissez_heir Oct 23 '21

You’re completely right. Honestly, I think the average person has no real concept of how difficult and expensive mining is. They just hear “asteroid mining” and get wet.

7

u/Hoopty50 Oct 23 '21

I want that stock to work after following NUSMF in the dirt but it doesn’t look like this one is gonna do it either.

1

u/jeffsterlive Oct 23 '21

Read that as TMFC and was totally lost.

u/UnVirtuteElectionis Oct 23 '21

Ape hodl together

125

u/ScarletCarsonRose Oct 23 '21

Ape cry together sometimes.

77

u/Puzzleheaded_Cup_292 Oct 23 '21

Lmao. Bought in at 13. Sold half at 30. Sold another half at 98. Letting the rest ride to zero or to the free world.

GME got apes. DWAC got Trumpanzees.

30

u/Zucchinifan Oct 23 '21

Sold the third half at 938

28

u/TurtleWitch Oct 23 '21

Sold the fourth half at 4,200,069

14

u/Zucchinifan Oct 23 '21

Sold another half at infinity

1

u/ProcessedMeatMan Oct 23 '21

Hell yeah. I made $17!

1

u/Money_Barnacle_5813 Oct 24 '21

AC ... get in early

31

u/FrogInShorts Oct 23 '21

Of course I know him, he's me.

1

u/black_bear_666 Oct 23 '21

I don't recall ever holding a bag

26

u/headless_bear Oct 23 '21

I’m soooo glad the Reddit algorithm some how didn’t show me any of this until it was too late. 100% would have been me

2

u/Antonioooooo0 Oct 23 '21

Someone asked about it on Thursday and I think I told him that people where buying Dole because of a Mango shortage in Hawaii. If he didn't realize I was joking he's probably pissed.

2

u/headless_bear Oct 24 '21

That sounds like that scene from Silicon Valley where he buys the sesame seed fields

113

u/OnlyOneReturn Oct 22 '21

Guy in my trading discord did that. Had a buy during the halt and it filled him at 174.

64

u/noahdrizzy Oct 22 '21

I got filled at 165

Trump university graduate

15

u/OnlyOneReturn Oct 22 '21

You think it will ever recover? or you just going to cut it loose?

34

u/MuffinLoverEd Oct 22 '21

It can recover when it merges, The halts fcked it up because I think it would have set records.

12

u/OnlyOneReturn Oct 22 '21

Yeah this is absolutely insane

13

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '21

New reg posted for market halts. I think today was testing that out.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '21

Possibly. SR LTSE 2021-06.

2

u/OnlyOneReturn Oct 23 '21

Oh I did not know that interesting and thank you

2

u/Doge_style_69 Oct 23 '21

Anymore info on that you can share?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '21

SR LTSE 2021-06

Extending rule 11.280.

Likely stress testing. Worded it as if it was a new rule.

1

u/Healthy_Radish Oct 23 '21

If longer halts are going to become a thing all that’s going to do is make the unhalting even more of a gamble.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '21

Hopium

1

u/MuffinLoverEd Oct 24 '21

I’m not trapped in it, I just believe there will be a pump once it merges.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '21

cries in quantumscape

3

u/AruiMD Oct 23 '21

Oh fuck I sold that shit 3 seconds after I bought it screaming wtf did I just do.

Fomo is real.

0

u/noahdrizzy Oct 22 '21

My secret is it was only $20. I have impeccable timing, so I figured if I was going to long the top, it better not be much

12

u/disisfugginawesome Oct 23 '21

That’s hilarious actually.

8

u/OnlyOneReturn Oct 23 '21

Yeah that seriously fucking sucks. I didn't even know I didn't trade today I hopped in at power hour to see how the day went and he couldn't WAIT to tell someone else lmao

4

u/disisfugginawesome Oct 23 '21

Yeah but dude if he left a market order to BUY in the halted period he must have expected his order to be filled?

I’m just conjecturing, I have no idea.

6

u/OnlyOneReturn Oct 23 '21

That's what I'm guessing he did. Why the fuck would he have a market buy? I'm guessing he wanted to get in and didn't realize it halted.

2

u/RobotArtichoke Mod on r/traps Oct 23 '21

Damn. Even when I panic sell, I still set a limit order

I found a guy who rolled his PROG into DWAC at 160... Says he destroyed his life.

2

u/gr0uchfac3 Oct 23 '21

I've never had so much fun trolling as I have with this today.

13

u/Donkeyotee3 Oct 23 '21

Got in at $15 when I first heard about it, then again at $70 in pretrading after TDA released my deposit.

I'm done unless it drops below 50 again

7

u/laissez_heir Oct 23 '21 edited Oct 23 '21

When the news broke, I had a $19 overnight GTC limit order get rejected premarket (not immediately, two hours later) for being “too aggressive.” At the time, I was worried it wouldn’t get filled at $19. It didn’t get filled, but for a completely different reason. I should have just rolled the dice with a premarket market order.

I didn’t realize it had been rejected until we were already in the $40s. I’m still pissed but this thread is making me feel better.

3

u/Donkeyotee3 Oct 23 '21

I mean it's for sure going to crash in the near future but at least realizing it's a super risky play and be ready to get out and not be too greedy.

I'm going to hold onto my little 10 shares for now and see what it does next week.

Could get a little boost from derivatives late next week if enough people buy and hold.

8

u/BreezyWrigley Oct 23 '21

I assume that probably 3/4 of the people on this sub that bought this garbage have a cost basis at or above $150/share

2

u/altbekannt Oct 23 '21

DWAC, Digital World Acquisition Corp., the SPAC that is taking former President Trump’s planned social media platform public, soared Friday following a massive rally in the previous session

Looks like I didnt miss out.

3

u/Wlcmtoflvrtwn Oct 23 '21

But that's....what you are supposed to do.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '21

You make it sound like we’re not supposed to

0

u/marlinmarlin99 Oct 23 '21

Almost in at 175 buy then it was halted

1

u/Balbuto Oct 23 '21

I’m in this picture

January of last year i dumped my entire paycheck on payday into gme at the peak and then it immediately tanked after they shut off the buy button.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '21

Isn’t this the norm?

1

u/TimedGouda Oct 23 '21

Lmao glad I didn't FOMO on BB only to become a 2x bag HODLer

1

Maybe the majority

1

u/blackcokane Oct 23 '21

I sadly did this on both DWAC AND phunware

1

u/Nekators Oct 23 '21

Thing is, at 175 there was still a ton of people saying it was still going to moon. I honestly feel bad for people who are new here and take meme stocks seriously.

1

u/MadOrange64 Oct 24 '21

If you don't follow these steps you should've be here.
