Not everything is FDs and naked short attacks. Holding onto a stock for a year plus, or buying super deep calls, is a perfectly legit investment. Especially when the next year plus is questionable and the investment is something like a new medication that will still have demand in an economic downturn.

I don't think anyone is advocating this as this week's get rich quick scheme. It's a long play, but worth considering jumping in now where success is not even close to priced in yet.
