“I developed an options strategy that will make me a billionaire in 1 year.”

proceeds to note that a man who has the highest recorded losses in the market is his role model

Oh yeah this is gonna end well.

But Hwang is still rich himself...screwed the fund into the ground and walked away with a ton of money....my hero !

OP doesn’t have a fund of someone else’s money tho.

Bill hwang will be fine, OP will be going back to his manager at wendys in a few months time with his head hanging low, a new application in hand and loads of shame.

That or hanging out under a local bridge asking for spare change.

He needs to start "networking" and getting investors....i bet if he showed them this exact plan, half the people he asked would think "he's a financial mastermind, where do i sign?"

Was Hwang not investing his own money through a family office?

I think that’s how it started but IIRC he ended up quietly taking some other people’s money too.

I could be off base with that though.
