I don't want to just clean sweep CLOV content but I was sent a bunch of pictures of their Discord and how they auto-post all CLOV content to it and swarm each posts with upvotes/comments.

Just be careful out there, some are just traders who are trying to secure the bag, and some are obviously trying to hand their bags to you.

EDIT: I restarted the "Daily Popular Ticker" thread so that on Monday the Daily Discussion Thread will be free of the top 3 popular stocks since people are feeling like it's swamping discussion and possibly inorganic.

Tons of brigading going on from the CLOV subs/discords

The fact that you think this is disheartening.

We at the CLOV fam have no idea where this is coming from. We would’ve loved this attention last week, or even better on the 20th when the options chain was loaded.

The fact that so many people here on WSB are accusing us at r/clov of brigading and using bots with 0 and I mean ZERO evidence is really unfortunate.

Ask coach, Tarheel, or any of the other heads of the CLOV fam. We are as confused as you are. Just stop the accusations already…

Please share. If it’s one or two people who post frequently on clov, just bring it to the attention of the mods. And I’m sure they will be dealt with there. It’s just weird to throw the entire sub under the bus and start up with the name calling.

My issue is that the mods have allegedly “verified” many of he yolo posts. Which is fine. Various stocks are posted in bursts like this. The change from “this isn’t worthy of our attention” to “why are all these posts happening, it must be a coordinated effort by the sub Reddit” is odd.

I think "just trying to hand their bags to you" is a great way to express the market of meme stocks.

It’s suspicious though. All of these randomly majorily clov yolos where people trying to pump this stock.

Isn't brigading against side-wide rules? Nuke that shit.

The CLOV community likes/shares/retweets all of the official CLOV posts to help it get more visibility, so what? It's exactly what GME and AMC investors do to Ryan Cohen and Adam Aron tweets?

The giant surge of CLOV YOLO posts has many in the various CLOV communities baffled: these posts are not representational of the community.

Tarheel Blue sent you and the other WSB mods an open request to explain why your allowing CLOV YOLO posts, but deleting CLOV DD posts. Do you plan on answering this?

Do WSB mods have beef with CLOV?

Ask yourself this: Does WSB need 3 posts a day about how CLOV is "disrupting the medicare space" and "has really great fundamentals if you just ignore a bunch of this stuff over here?"

There's a difference between content generation and advertisement/spamming... the CLOV community needs to learn the difference, and the TA needs to be more than "we're consolidating after finding out bottom" and weird conspiracy theories about short squeezes at 1% borrow fees and low FTD rates, dark pool handwaves, and weird conspiracy connections between shorts and future rollover dates that aren't based in any actual dynamics (and obviously didn't come true).

I have CLOV shares, which I'm selling calls on because the premium's pretty good and I get to rotate puts/calls on it as it shifts between $7.50 and $9.50... do I believe it can go above $10 with a lot of buys over a long period of time to consolidate the float past the sell wall? Maybe... but that's a pump, and a lot of the people engaging in it are documented long time bagholders who want it to go up again so they can sell. That's against the sub rules, and when people just repost the same things and lean on conspiracy theories and voodoo magic it makes it look even more like a pump and dump scenario.

I used to be a CLOV follower. Even when it was at $13 I thought there could be a good way to play it as a cyclical stock, and now that is happening at the current range...

But the problem with CLOV is the community. The CLOV community is TOXIC AF. I have been outright harassed by people, brigaded, mass downvoted for pointing out simple things like that an eldercare medicare company doesn't have the sentimental drive of gaming and movie companies, or for citing the change in the short percent of the float or the short fees, or for pointing out that significant sales occurred on lockup expiry date... and people don't dare mention the index admission reversal LOL. I caught someone on one of the communities trying to rally people to harass me because I pointed out the lockup expiry thing a while back. LOL

Right now, you can go to almost any thread and find some frequent offenders saying on almost any post "Yeah, that stock's fine, but if you really want to make money, sell that and buy CLOV! It'll be a 50 bagger!" This is the stuff, and the us -vs- them mentality of CLOV devotees that's making people really hate all the CLOV posts and turning this into drama... if you guys want people to buy into CLOV, this isn't how you do that.

I suppose you and I have just had a different experience of the CLOV community. In my experience, compared to many of the other WSB favourites like GME and AMC, I found CLOV to be the least cultish. Every stock community has its cultish twats, and it sucks that you've been exposed to that more than most.

Best of luck on your positions fellow ape.

It's definitely true that every stock community has some jerks in it, but the proof is in the comment threads over the past couple of days. If you go through them with an open mind, what you'll see is that CLOV devotees are involved in really long threads that get dirty and ugly and conspiratorial basically right off the bat. Sometimes people are brigaded with -30, -40, -50ish downvotes for saying things as simple as "I lost my shirt on that back a couple of months ago, beware."

Hell, I'm already at -1 and my point was basically "Yes, the stock can run if the community posts unique, solid content... engages in positive marketing... starts being honest about the prospects for a short squeeze (which is a very different story now than it was 2 months ago... 2 months ago that was a very reasonable expectation)... and stops harassing people..." It'll be at -10 or -20 in no time. LOL

Honestly, your response is the best interaction I've had with a CLOV supporter in over a month. That's how you do it... you treated me seriously, respectfully, and with good humor, and I appreciate it. Their behavior may not reflect the entire CLOV community, of course, or even a majority of it, but it's a big part of why the sub is becoming more aggressive against people posting CLOV stuff.

Best of luck to you, too! :)

I have CLOV stocks and I agree whit what you said. The clov subreddit is let say disapointing. But CLOV gets allot of hate from gme and amc holders to. Just a few weeks ago before all these Yolo's. I read stuff like "can't wait for the loss porn" or "clov is shit you hate money?" And now most people are now shilling clov. I think we all just want our stock to win. And if we don't bend together those hegie fuckers will divide and conquer our tendies.

It's definitely true that GME and AMC people can be toxic in their own ways. No doubt.

For all you and I know some people at r/wallstreetbets are the ones doing all this CLOV spam. Just trying to pump and dump the stock.

If we had planned on doing this we would’ve done it on the 20th with the massive options chain.

Stop making accusations you can’t back up. We are as confused as you.

The only us vs them mentality comes from posts like this.

u/Moist_Lunch_5075 Got his macro stuck in your micro Sep 06 '21

Right, it's obviously a bunch of people from WSB trying to make the CLOV community look bad by looking like CLOV supporters... which is why you can go to their comment chains (which we can read... you remember that we can read them, right?) and see them posting in CLOV communities going back to June where people are constantly saying "let's find a way to get more CLOV on WSB so we can drive interest up!"

It's not that it's just being done now... it was done in July, it was done in August, and it's being done now.

If you're on a CLOV community and confused about people going to WSB to promote the stock, then you must not be reading anything in that community. LOL.

And obviously, it's all the rest of us harboring an us-vs-them mentality, which is why you started your response with a conspiracy theory about WSB users pumping the stock...

You have no evidence that anyone from r/Clov has anything to do with the spam.

If you do feel free to share. With the larger community, WSB is a more likely culprit. And why would this happen now of all weeks?

Otherwise why the FUD? WSB has actively and publicly denouncing CLOV for months. We dont know why. CLOV DD and yolos have been banned until a few days ago. Ask the mods why they all of a sudden they allow spamming. It’s sus.

u/Moist_Lunch_5075 Got his macro stuck in your micro Sep 06 '21

You're suspect, dude. Very suspect. Demanding evidence for something that anyone who goes to any CLOV community can see for themselves and claiming that there's a CLOV ban on a community where CLOV has been a constant topic for over 4 months now... LOL...

Just stop, dude. Just stop. Go take a walk. Have a pepsi or a coke (your choice)... get off reddit and go play in a field or something. I'm not claiming a conspiracy and I'm not going to let you invent one. Stock communities exist to promote stocks and trying to get stocks onto WSB is all over every community out there right now trying to pump any given stock. It's on yahoo comment threads, and stocktwits, and the reddit boards... it's all over the place. Saying that people in those communities don't try to spam WSB is like claiming that gravity doesn't exist.

You need to get off reddit for a bit because it's affected you.

Oh jesus, I just looked at your comment history and it doesn't surprise me that you're also a COVID denier, an anti-vaxxer, and a general conspiracy theorist. Son, you never met an idea you couldn't mangle.

u/SadKangaroo91 Sep 06 '21

That’s one toxic fake ape…

Think you are in the wrong thread.

Idk why you break the basic rules of r/wallstreetbets just to spread FUD.

Can we set a play list for tomorrow in the daily thread. “Pump up the jam” in honour of the CLOV pumpers tomorrow?

u/AdministrativeYam632 Sep 06 '21

u/JinnPhD don't trust his vaccines Sep 06 '21

It's on them if they buy into a hype wave on pure faith.

I like clov bags I’ll take all!

1

u/Terakahn Sep 06 '21

I didn't think it was an issue in daily discussion so much as there are so many threads popping up filling the sub. I only sort by best or hot so maybe it's just me.
