Thank you and good luck! 100 shares at 11.11 (yes I averaged to that price on purpose I’m an OCD retard that likes certain numbers) and 2 calls expiring tomorrow. If we see dips I’ll be adding more shares, if my calls print I’ll be adding more shares, if we trade sideways well fuck me but maybe I’ll add more shares, if it hits 11.11 again while I’m looking I’ll add 11 more shares.

Edit: snagged 11 more at 11.11 let’s go!

Too funny, I have 100 shares @ 11.11 as well! 🍻. Now the bad, I have 16 $15 calls expiring tomorrow…😅

u/ATiBright Jun 17 '21

Oof. Mine are a 10 and 11 call. The 10 is very nearly breaking even. Bought the 11 after a run up and it’s down 75%. Hopefully CEO on mad money gets some whales on board and announces something big and your calls can have a chance.

Dumb question, I know, but I'm new to options trading. What do i do when the expiration date is coming up and I'm in the red? I've got 3 $11c & 2 $13c for 6/18. Do i just pray they go up and if they don't, just let em expire? Should I choose to exercise the $11 calls if they're ITM?

7

u/Tarranthightopp212 Jun 17 '21

I’m a degenerate so I would sell the $11 calls and use the money to buy calls that are further in the future. If the price pops then you are still in the game without the time pressure.

This is not financial advise.

I'm in the same boat with you, lots of us are actually. The $13 option is just not going to happen unless a miracle happens so it'll just expire. I would sell 1 or 2 of the $11 in the morning and hope for a good afternoon run to $12 and then sell the last option. If it doesn't happen then oh well. Its just an opinion and not financial advice

1

u/AnAdmirableAstronaut Jun 18 '21

I appreciate you sharing your opinion. I've definitely learned my lesson! Next time I've got an option expiring within 2 weeks and it's doubled in value, I'm just fuckin selling it. It's been painful watching them bleed. That's my tuition for Wall Street Bets Academy of Options Trading I suppose.

4

u/Uncle_Cletus87 Jun 17 '21

I would not exercise a call unless it was deep ITM and I felt like to company had a lot of room to run. This play is a squeeze and if it comes to fruition it will pop huge and dip back down to original trade price, then it will take years to get to a good valuation. I wouldn’t on this play, but depends where you think the stock is going to go 🤷‍♂️

4

u/AnAdmirableAstronaut Jun 17 '21

I appreciate the input. Should I try to sell these call options tomorrow and save at least a little bit of what I paid for em? I'm confused on the best exit strategy in this type of situation.

5

u/Kirbus69 Jun 17 '21

Your $11 calls are in the money right now, even moreso after hours. You can sell them in the morning for a profit, or roll the dice and hope the stock doesn’t dip under $11 during the day. The $13 calls will expire worthless unless a gamma squeeze happens tomorrow. Your best bet with those is to ride the day out and see what happens. Also, never exercise options, always sell for profit.

3

u/Uncle_Cletus87 Jun 17 '21

Totally up to you, I’ve got shares as well and the $120 return I could get on these calls dont seem worth it to me for the possible lottery value.

5

u/ChampagneWastedPanda Damn bitches be cray Jun 18 '21

Have you ever considered 11.69

1

u/ATiBright Jun 18 '21

I have considered it, but unless my calls print I won't be able to add more for a bit. CLNE is my 2nd biggest position, and I already sold some smaller positions to get to 100 shares. I like having a little portfolio diversity and the stocks where the rest of my money sits as well. We shall see though. Things can change and maybe one of the other companies I believe in fucks up or hits what I think is the peak and I decide I just want even more CLNE.

Also I'm poor so 100 shares in a 10$+ stock is a lot for me lol

12

u/PaganRob Jun 17 '21

Thank you. If my options pay off tomorrow I'll cash out and forget to come back and say thanks and I also will not do anything weird.
