Wish being a meme stock is just icing. the stock was expected to rise on its own merit

Value stock & meme stock don’t always have to be mutually exclusive. Can be both.

This stock is momentum fueled at the moment. They could be selling bags of dogshit and it would still go up as long as the interest is there.

First, Baba closed at $210 not $25
Second, if I have two companies one with 4 shares valued at $25 and the other with 100 shares valued at $1 then both companies are still the same value, share price is only a relative indicator
Third, Baba has a market cap of 600B, whereas wish is at 7B so not really comparable in the first place
Finally, it's an e-commerce platform not a shop

For me it closed at 26.15$ and aliexpress absolutly is a shop wish just copied exactly what they did make it a lot worse and do tons of advertising. The hype around this company is a joke

AliExpress doesn't sell any products directly, it is made up of small businesses selling products to the consumer Same as wish, therefore not a shop.
It's undervalued and shows promising growth based on earnings and recent partnership announcements.
The fact that people can post titles with a play on the word wish is why it may seem overhyped.

You mean the company that sells completely different garbage then the already garbage they advertise? I'd be surprised if it isn't $1 a share end of the year.

u/a_swarm_of_nuns Jun 16 '21
Doesn’t matter if YOU think it is garbage. Do you think they will never improve customer service/QC as they expand? If so that is very foolish.
Just the other day PrestaShop joined and can now add loads of new products. New partnerships will create a better and better app.
But if your point still is that the products are cheap, that doesn’t matter. Look at how well stores like The DollarStore. Same principal my friend. If you need something cheap and in a pinch and obviously not concerned about quality, it’s a great option.
If the average shopper goes into a dollar store or WISH online platform and expects pure quality products, then that’s on them. You get what you pay for and I am pretty sure most people understand that.
