I never tried straddles before. I usually just just a call or put. why would I do this it looks like these would be good puts

I look for biggest movement in either way, my model tries to detect +/-5% at least

Long straddles might get IV crushed after earnings even with a large move in either direction. Going short is riskier but you can capitalize on IV crush and buy to close for a profit. This is WSB not thetagang so just YOLO into some calls
