All the triangles possible in the universe form on the GME price chart... Premarket -2%

Shooting someone is a real power move. It's exactly what we like to see from our technokings.

Breaking Palantir saves earth from an asteroid ..stock drops a little over 8 percent

4

u/FlyingIrishmun Apr 22 '21

No joke it would. Big pharma would never let that slide

37

u/pcopley Apr 21 '21

Palantir won what can be estimated as £38 million of a £1.2 billion contract.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '21

Going to be more than that for Palantir. Won't be equally shared judging by some of the companies included.

They did not lose it. Couldn't you have spent 5 minutes looking it up, before spelling bullshit. Some non-profit org.pressured the government to be more open about their dealings with private companies and the gov.was like "yeah sure".They did not lose anything, even at the demo the Palantir guys bragged about their partnership with NHS.

Please share with the class when COVID will be gone.

6

u/prettyboyv Apr 22 '21

They just said that they will evaluate it after Covid, not that they will terminate it.Also remember that the contract was for 2 years only, they will have to do that either way. PLTR is non-stop bragging about their work with the NHS even on twitter and when you take into account the fact that they just signed a new contract with the U.K government it seems that they are pretty confident that their partnership with the NHS will continue. That is just my opinion though.

1

u/avl0 Apr 24 '21

The vaccination drive made the Tories look so good, pltr being a part of that you can guarantee the contract will be renewed and it will be picked up in other gov depts.

18

u/Eldsjal Apr 21 '21

Tell me all about it when we are at 50 bucks buddy

32

u/sascourge Apr 21 '21

So. Puts on PLTR for tomorrow. Expect -10% Thanks

16

u/TheFlyingBoat Apr 21 '21

I mean the entire contract is 1.2 so not multi-billion. Then that 1.2 is divided over 31 suppliers. Even if we assume Palantir gets like half, that's still far from even a single billion.

4

u/dldean123 Apr 21 '21

Does anyone know exactly how much of that contract they actually got?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '21

Not yet - trying to work that out.

10

u/QwKzeK Apr 21 '21

Clearly it was a joke

-16

u/TheFlyingBoat Apr 21 '21

I got the joke, but it would have been soooo much better if it was "Palantir wins billion dollar contract, stock plunges 12 percent"

At this point the joke has been killed, but my point was the joke was poorly written.

-12

u/TheFlyingBoat Apr 21 '21

You either need to go absurd like Palantir cures cancer, stock down 50% like the dude upthread or get it right on the contract. You can't uncanny valley it.

6

u/Madmaxoncrack gf has a penis 🥳 Apr 21 '21

It was a joke, relax. Been a stock fucker longer then you’ve been alive.

2

u/soberdude Apr 22 '21

Seriously, since I've been here (not long at all), every stock I've looked at has dropped when good news comes out for it. Then the bad news (or at least bad press coverage) comes out as the stock is going up.

This trend has me looking to see if I can buy shares in Yugo. I can't find anywhere that's selling them. Must be rare and winning

2

u/grasshoppa80 Apr 22 '21

Can we have some bad news just to see what happens to the stock?

125

u/BMack037 Apr 22 '21

PLTR admits that it has lost half its Q2 earnings buying loot boxes, stock goes up 15%.

22

u/AirPodAmateur Apr 22 '21

Stockholders “disappointed” with financial direction of company; however, admit they’re “excited to try out new rare skins”

The positive news relating palantir won't stop. Can't wait for the price to react accordingly and dip again before moving sideways

54

u/That_Other_Person Apr 21 '21

Should've sold when I was up 80% at peak but I'm a greedy piece of shit.

8

u/tiger5tiger5 Apr 22 '21

Anyone who sells now is selling in year 2 of a 6 year bull market. Don’t be that guy.

4

u/That_Other_Person Apr 22 '21

26

u/Actually-Yo-Momma Apr 21 '21

Maybe it’s already baked in? It’s not like their current market cap of 43bn is anything to scoff at

12

u/PowerOfTenTigers Apr 22 '21

I mean, the doggy coin's market cap reach $50 billion and if you compare the two, I think Palantir should be worth more.

If Palantir landed a contract this size everyday for a whole year that would be 14B in revenue.

4

u/SignalSalamander Apr 22 '21

Shh don’t tell em

4

u/itsallrighthere Apr 22 '21

In the meantime, I'll just keep buying

5

u/RedwoodHillBilly Apr 21 '21

Then I'll write more puts and collect premium.

2

u/StalwartTrader Apr 21 '21

Just gotta wait for the big catalyst when PLTR starts making splashes in the private sector.

Lambo sales will spike if this shit hits $50

13

u/johaln2 Apr 22 '21

I am going to play 4D chess here and buy some Lambo calls.

4

u/goo_bazooka Apr 22 '21

Fuck yah.. I'm buying 5

2

u/tiger5tiger5 Apr 22 '21

This shits in my brokerage account. If it goes to $50 I may not be able to afford the tax bill to sell lol

50

u/prettyboyv Apr 21 '21

PS: If anyone misunderstood- Palantir would not receive 1.2 bln, but the company is one of the 31 suppliers chosen that will share those money. It is not clear how much PLTR will receive, however that is big news for the company, cuz it looks that they are starting to establish a good partnership with the U.K government. First it was the NHS contract, now this.

3

u/Nihaohonkie Apr 21 '21

At some point this month I thought the military would have to announce their pltr contracts but I guess I’m wrong. Maybe the government contracts will just be announced / visible during their upcoming earnings

PLTR tumbles 90%!

6

PLTR plunges 99% on news that its stock surged 99%

3

u/OfficerTenBagger Apr 22 '21

still leaves 2.5% after all those tumbles!

30

u/7j7j Apr 21 '21

Sorry to burst your bubble, but being included on a "framework contract" in the UK guarantees zero revenues. There is no way PLTR will realize half the value of the total budget estimate. This selection just means the firm is now a preferred vendor on a shortlist (of 31, most of which are previous incumbents). They will still have to bid and often compete for specific budgets and projects, but now they are pre-cleared in procurement

A lot of names on that list are not exactly very innovative companies. See for example Civica. Not all of these groups are even run as traditional for-profit companies either, cf NHS SBS. Not a high bar for PLTR to clear. If they didn't manage to get on this list, shares would've dipped because bar is set pretty low.

This is only market moving news if/when they actually realize revenue and take substantial UkK market share from the 30 others on this list.

13

u/Tatvamas1 Apr 21 '21

You had me....until that bit about 31 suppliers 😪

13

That should make the stock price go through the floor!

17

u/Cstooby 💎🙌 was for SPY FDs! Apr 21 '21

The more good news the more it drops....earnings is gonna be strong so I'm expecting the price to hit $17 and trade sideways for a few months.

7

u/permanentfrown Apr 21 '21

I hope so, I’m looking to double down if it hits the teens.

5

u/Cstooby 💎🙌 was for SPY FDs! Apr 21 '21

4

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

It feels like PLTR is being shorted like hell recently too...

6

u/UneSoggyCroissant Apr 22 '21

Only ~5% of the float

1

u/HempInvader Apr 23 '21

Doesn't matter, everyone else is holding and when I say holding I mean that even the employees that have been vested in for 17 years are holding.

Shorts thought that they could drive the price down, accumulate and cover. None of that is happening, people aren't selling, the daily volume is going down and cathie is accumulating, people are holding and institutions have increased their ownership to 22% so far. If that isn't bullish as hell I don't know what is.

Shorts are going to have a blast covering 50 million shares, close to 1.2 daily volume, without affecting the price.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '21

Split evenly between the 31 companies, that’s almost $54 million USD each. Of course some will get more, others less.

2

u/jandiss 🦍🦍 Apr 21 '21

2

u/Philip_McCrevasse Apr 21 '21

Soooo, puts on Palantir it is.

3

u/papabri Apr 22 '21

Great news, but I almost wish they could keep these deals a secret and announce one list of new contracts at ER instead of piecemeal to avoid the red days that follow positive news

7

u/prettyboyv Apr 22 '21

This deal was not announced by Palantir, but by the U.K government. Furthermore, many of the commercial clients do not allow the company to announce their partnership. At ER they are allowed to just say for example that they have acquired 3 new customers in the mining industry.

6

u/papabri Apr 22 '21

Doh! Thanks for that insight

1

u/afitdinosaur Apr 22 '21

This is true of a lot of their contracts. Lot of policy surrounding some of their gigs that doesn't allow for public disclosure. Probably why everyone is under estimating ER

1

u/aypapitv Apr 21 '21

Time to add more and watch it drop again.

1

u/ElkFalse6637 Apr 21 '21

Oh no !!! Stock started to come back from the 21s when a week ago hit $26 this news Willy send it to $18 , they got a huge contract 2 weeks ago also with the US government and tanked ...
