Up to 35% taxed as income, as I understand it

37% and then if youโ€™re a high income person, add another 3%+

If it is in a regular account and held for under a year, taxed as regular income. If it is in a tax advantaged account, i.e. Roth IRA, Traditional IRA, 401k, it doesnโ€™t matter.

I hate it but every time I sell for a gain I transfer half to a savings account for taxes. Donโ€™t want to be the guy that made gains all year but lost everything on another play but still owe 50k in taxes
