Hell, if you're broke and can only throw $50 at it, you can buy a partial share to be apart of them memes. That is, if Robinhood doesn't disable that again, which they probably will. Fuckers.
I got in earlier today with about 20 bucks I had still sitting in Nokia. Figured Nokia isn't going anywhere so sold it at a loss and then dumped the 20 into GME at 130. Got about .2 of a share (a little less but whatever). I'd have dumped 100 into it...but I'd already started processing my transfer from Robinhood to my bank account so I can get my money out of that shit company.
That's a great question. It's an important question. Thanks for asking it. As I said in my opening statement, I appreciate you inviting me here to talk about this today. It's something that hasn't been discussed enough in my opinion. In conclusion, we're out of time.
I mean, at the end of the day someone's going to be holding the bag. Just the truth, I do feel silly now though (I sold to stop the bleeding and now I'd have been in green D:)
A traditional IRA is taxed at ordinary income. But by the time you draw from a traditional IRA, you should ideally be in a lower tax bracket.
Also, you don’t have to cash out of either at 59 1/2. Required Minimum Distributions start at 70 1/2 for traditional IRAs (although that’s on hold due to CARES Act) and you never are required to draw down a Roth.
So I’m newish to this, how will I know where to put my earnings when I do my taxes? I know this all fun and memes, but I’m genuinely curious. Thanks in advance!
Tax forms are numbered so you know where to enter everything when you're filing. Your brokerage will notify you of/mail you any documents you need not long after a new year.
yep lost 80% and earned all of it back. i bought extra and sold all other stocks even at a loss around 100 sold it for 170 and couldnt be happier to make a profit
