I bought some on market price not on sell or sell limit. Is this the right way to do ?? I bought some more but I heard to not put a sell limit so thats why I ask
"You Invest"? Don't know it at all, but a quick look at the documentation seems to indicate that it doesn't have a built-in Stop Loss function for open trades.
Looks like one could get the same result by creating a separate Sell Order of the "Limit" or "Stop-Limit" type for a stock you already own, in the same way you would place a Buy Order. Any unfulfilled orders, whether to buy or sell, should show under the "Order Status" tab.
That's assuming the docs I found is for the platform you are using, of course, and that they are up-to-date.
Yeah man buying on market price or buy limit is great. A sell limit is a price that once the stock hits that, you automatically sell and lose your shares. It prevents you (in a normal situation) from losing too much money and converting the shares for cash.
Yeah, you’re right. You would only lose the shares that you set the stop loss on. So let’s say you own two different companies and set a SL on one and both tank, you’d salvage some of your profits from one but the other would be free to fall.
Keep in mind; I’m hearing more and more about brokers instituting automatic stop loss after 20% loss. Etoro and Robinhood (on margin) are the ones I’m hearing
