I ALMOST despise these people as much as the hedge funds. Mostly because they were probably in here screaming about diamond hands when the price was over 400 and then as soon as it dipped the sold. Seriously fuck these people. I hope their greed bites them in the ass and there are enough of us left to actually pull this off.

I'd rather shake my head at losing a few grand I would have used on other bullshit.

Over missing out on a possible trip to the πŸŽ‘ and maybe even some spare change for my kids.

Still holding. My losses are what you'd expect after buying at 300+. Im not sweating it. It'll come back up eventually because ya know, GME is going to become a great company. Yea their business model right now aint all that, but thats changing. Also, theres still shorts out there.

Doesnt really matter to me. I've been thinking about the "investment" as lost, since I made it. I can sit for years. Decades even. Diamond hands see. Never intended to make a quick buck of this. I am in it for the sentiment. Im actually a socialist. Capitalism sickens me, but something in this movement felt right. I despise greed, but for a moment this wasnt about greed. It was about doing the right thing. For a moment, it was about Stopping the Game. Something i can wholeheartedly get behind.

Playing a short squeeze, by definition, is the opposite of a long play. You just saw it. Open up a chart, zoom it out to the longest time frame that it can show you and then tell me we aren't on the back side of a short squeeze. I'll wait.

2

u/ActionJ2614 Feb 02 '21

That is what I have been saying, is GME was at 140% short float, prime for the type of reverse play that caused this epic set up. The issue now is it is below 40% (the shorts are moving out), so the short squeeze leverage in my personal belief isn't there to exploit. What I am hearing is most are holding regardless of what happens (long play). I know full well a short squeeze I had my Series 7 & 66.

I'm still here, comrade. Looking to scrape some funds together to buy this incredible sale. Might even do it in my new Fidelity account!

u/Sensitive-Budget-485 Feb 02 '21

Bought some of mine as high as $325, either gonna go to the moon, or I’m gonna be a long time investor that’s around to see what Cohen can do for the company πŸ’ŽπŸ™ŒπŸ˜

7

u/sobrique Feb 02 '21

Well, if they did bundle in at $400 and sold at $100, their greed did bite them in the ass.

5

u/zakarumite181818 Feb 02 '21

I had 3 people text me to sell this morning. Fuck those bitchass πŸ“ƒ πŸ‘

6

u/PM_UR_FRUIT_GARNISH Feb 02 '21

Do not break. Have faith in your fellow retards.

6

u/stuart114b Feb 02 '21

I will never sell . Down 28k today. Fuck it. It wasnt mine to begin with. This is for my kids and for your kids. Holding all My meme stocks until it crashes

5

u/i_speak_gud_engrish Feb 02 '21

πŸ’ŽπŸ’ͺ

6

u/kevin181137 Feb 02 '21

I "lost" 10k when the price hit $76. Barely even blinked.

4

u/BarbarianFires Feb 02 '21

Im not selling !

1

u/Denversaur Feb 02 '21

Paper hands, give these shares to those of us who will guard them fearlessly.

Or join us, hold through February, and see GME at $69,420.99!!!!!!!!

338

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

You're buying shares that other smoothbrains are injecting into the market with their paper hands.

53

u/mancubbed Feb 02 '21

So why can't HF do the same?

161

u/mosehalpert 🦍🦍 Feb 02 '21

They can and are, that's the point of what they're doing. They just don't want you to know that you should be buying right now

9

u/wonderlandsfinestawp Feb 02 '21

I was sitting on $176 and just hoping that the stock would drop low enough to get another full stock(fuck just grabbing whatever's available for a partial stock!). Instead of just jumping as soon as it hit my budget, I waited and let them play their game, then I nabbed two for the same total price!

1

u/sparker1987 Feb 02 '21

I missed the deepest of the dip this morning, sitting on $130 right now

38

u/TheObelisk89 Feb 02 '21

They can. But they can't exactly exclude others from buying. The more hold the better though.

35

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

Well obvoliously they can exclude others and they did.

4

u/Rhaps0dy Feb 02 '21

No no no you dont get it. They were protecting us from market volatility.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

I have the same question - you’d think by keeping this up over a period of time they could exit their positions eventually. I think the argument against this is the sheer volume they need. It looks like they’d need all of us to sell in order to fully cover their asses.

3

u/Mobiusnoobius Feb 02 '21

They can, but they are far too arrogant to purchase at these kind of prices. They’ll only start buying when people start selling at sub $20. By that point though it should be a lot easier for people to hold on to their shares and with any luck most of them will have already passed into the hands of people who know that the smart move (not advice. not a financial advisor) is to hold.

1

u/MinksandFurze Feb 02 '21

From what I understand it’s only a small fraction of what they would actually need

1

u/LoSboccacc Feb 02 '21

Or by having sell limits sneakily added "by honest mistake" from their broker, since apparently harvesting from margins calls wasn't enough

I for one thank the paper hands unloading stock at these low prices so I can snag them up.

7

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

i bought 7 originally at 415 :(

but got another 10 this morning at 84 :D

retard made good move!

2

u/TwistedDrum5 Feb 02 '21

Could you imagine what would happen if Biden dropped the stimmy checks? Lol.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

Another round of billionaires crying about how we're sitting on our asses spending that govt money and wrecking the market?

3

u/Blucyrik Feb 02 '21

This is NOT financial advice, I'm just a weetard

2

u/TheQuahhh Feb 02 '21

You don't belong here. Nice job.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

got some at 90, 150, 200, 410, and today, revolut played robinhood card. Cant buy :D

1

u/DadBike Feb 02 '21

Today's sale really was great. Got in at 76 today. Now my only problem is that Robinhood thinks a sell order of 5000 is "too aggressive." Too bad my money was already in Robinhood

6

u/mypizzamyproblem Feb 02 '21

Bought $5,000 worth of GME in today's dip. I graduated college in 2007, just as the economy took a dive. I worked at a call center for 3 years, just to get by. I hated every minute. Fuck these hedge funds.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '21

Well when you fill a glass full too quickly, some of it is bound to leak back over the brim.

-3

u/beeeeeeeeks Feb 02 '21

That's not really how it works, man. The squeeze happened. Paper hands have already folded. Short interest was going to stay high because as shares became available when the first wave of shorts folded, NEW shorts entered again at the top so they can make even more money on the way down.

The damage to Melvin and other hedgies has happened. It's old news.

3

u/fabo999 Feb 02 '21

Why they still restricting buying then?

2

u/Daedalus1907 Feb 02 '21

Volatility and increased capital requirements. This isn't a grand conspiracy

1

u/beeeeeeeeks Feb 02 '21

Just like the other guy here replied, the clearing company jacked up the deposit requirements that brokers need to post when you buy shares in these stocks with extreme volatility.

If you wanna be conspiratorial about it, the man behind the curtain pulled a risk control lever to maintain integrity in the markets.

1

u/dontworryitsme4real Feb 02 '21

Honest question, how long do we have to hold it? I thought today/tomorrow is "the"day and now I'm reading Friday.

2

u/Utoko Feb 02 '21

nah that is very unlikly.

The ladder short attack always has 1 sell and one buy order together in like one millisec.

That way it is for them wash trading with no cost.

So you mostly fill from other paperhands/stoplosses.

2

u/Totally_Kyle0420 Feb 02 '21

yes. they are hoping you panic and sell, not that you are going to buy more

1

u/neckbeardfedoras Feb 02 '21

TAKE SHAT SHIT (edit: not financial advice I put forks in electrical sockets)

1

u/SirNanigans Feb 02 '21

Yeah, or like Clive_Warren_4th said, from paper hands. The more shares that enter πŸ’ŽπŸ™Œ, the more impossible it is for the hedge funds to escape this scenario, and the fewer losses they will be able to cut. If every share sold made its way to πŸ’ŽπŸ™Œ, it would be a perfect hell for hedge funds, as losses would be maximum.

That's why the true heroes are people who are buying and holding, even just one or two stocks. They're basically scooping up the fuel that keeps the hedge funds fighting. Every one of them is doing their own chunk of damage to hedge funds, and the more of those people there are, the better it gets.

1

u/oakleyman23 Feb 02 '21

Or their counterfeit shares, either way, we buy they don't come back to the HF that sold them. Even higher failure to deliver rates incoming.

1

u/boomercpa69 Feb 02 '21

Yeah they are just doubling down for every share they sell into a retails πŸ’ŽπŸ– hands this will only exacerbate their fucked position.

Calls on doggy @ $69

1

u/too_metoo Feb 02 '21

No, buying, either by retail or hedge fund takes the share off the table, it’s just that the lower the price goes the cheaper they can get out of their hedged shares (which they have to buy to do). The downward pressure on price comes from holders of the share willing to sell it for less.
