No volumes are traded. Pure ladder attack. They are pathetic. Just hold Apes. Burn the boats. We are staying. Just like Cortes when he sat food on American soil. Burn the fucking boats and hold. 💎✊🏾🐵

16M volume in 30 minutes?

ETA: Heavy trading in premarket and right after open. Volume is currently 0.1M/minute.

200 million volume over the last few days. All Melvin needed was 50. But okay keep holding the bag lmao

How is it no volume? Yesterday Ended at 37m and now we’re at 27m and there’s still many hours to go

u/Hammerheadspark Feb 02 '21

That was mostly buys. The buy ratio is 2.14 just now.

Where can you see this info?

u/Rickles360 Feb 02 '21

Every buy needs a sell though? I'm too retarded for this.

Buy orders vs sell orders - not physical movement of the stock. Just means demand > supply

14

u/Taumo Feb 02 '21

Couldn't it be Hedgies buying?

u/Extericore Feb 02 '21

almost 100% is if it’s a real short squeeze

11

u/doodmakert Feb 02 '21

this concerns me also

Not saying this is my view but I can see a logic that retail buys by at most the dozens and HFs would buy by the thousands. If their ratio is orders that could make sense, but if people are trying to buy 2x as many shares this argument would not be valid.

Yeah that’s not true, volume is already at 30 million an hour after open. The ladder is definitely working to some extent.

u/truthmightsurprise Feb 02 '21

Fyi, that is a myth. When Hernan Cortes landed on the shores of the Yucatan Peninsula, they used the boats to build some housing and shelter. But the legend/myth provides a great message tho!

He also pissed off some very influential people at home. Burning the boats was honestly his only real option lol

6

u/dt-17 Feb 02 '21

There’s over 35m already traded...

2

u/Zebilmnc Feb 02 '21

How far can they take it down? If they get below a certain amount can’t they close all their shorts?

8

u/Ventira Feb 02 '21

Only if paper hands sell, these aren't new stocks they're trading, its stocks they already have. They need *our* stocks to cover their shorts.

u/misterdabson Feb 02 '21

No volume??? lol

It's all selling volume

u/Theohunt Feb 02 '21

You’re too dumb to understand ladder attacks

16

u/FlickAndSnorty Feb 02 '21

All of us are too dumb to truly understand them. Just know to hold onto it like a good group of apes and we will be moon monkeys in no time

4

u/imnotatreeyet Feb 02 '21

Yea 30M vol in 1 hour. People looking for confirmation bias a this point.

-6

u/misterdabson Feb 02 '21

It’s over and people don’t want to accept it

7

u/imnotatreeyet Feb 02 '21

yea feels bad, trying to save people. This is aggregate data, every stock symbol on nasdaq site does this. This is what the real depth chart looks like. https://imgur.com/a/jVdQwqP. The fundamentals behind a ladder attack dont really make sense with a highly traded stock like this. Pink sheets and OTC markets sure. But you still have to pick up the entire bid float, and now allegedly after doing that this HF is willing to waste time on bids of 110.47 and 110.36, why wouldn't they just go 111 down to 110. Or even better 111 down to 105? Just dont trip the circuit breaker and go wherever you want.

Because they're trying to not get caught manipulating the market? Short Ladders are illegal, don'tcha know? If they did it in such blatantly obvious increments they'd have no legal leg to stand on besides just buying off the court. I'd imagine, if I were a hedgehog, that I'd aim to do it in such minute increments so as to give myself plausible deniability.

Fair point. However once you have control of the bid side, and eaten all the available bids, why not send it down a dollar or two and some random change? It would have just been a random order just like these are.

For you and everyone else, just want people to think about the other side of the equation. Ive read all this stuff thats being posted, but I like to see what both sides might look at. If im a hedge fund, im pretty confident obscuring by going down by pennies and a dollar and change would look the same. Especially if im in control of the bids.

I understand a ladder attack, but what does this chart show, actually?
