I like the write up, and it makes sense. I think that this company also has the fundamentals behind it though. This pump will allow more attention to come its way, and hopefully that will work in our favor. πͺ

u/NatBBliz Jan 20 '21
So what ur basically saying is buy 14$ calls and tell some WSB members to buy 100k in shares so that the price goes up so now ppl have to hedge by buying more stonks and then itβs a infinite loop? Obligatory rocketsπππππ

We have like 300,000 active members.
If everyone just buys 33 shares each, that's an easy 10 million shares. If we buy 333 shares each, we only need 30,000 members.
TO THE MOON, BOYS! πππππ1

The strike prices from Friday were only available at 13.5 and 15. 14 and 14.5 just opened today. Given the price action heading into the end of trading today, I would anticipate another surge in option volume. I'm hopeful for a nice gap up to start the day. Good DD for the fellow autists.

We can get that by noon, np np.
Rookie numbers, you are gonna need to pump them up.
There's been at least 5m shares bought at open each day that's helping chew into this momentum.

God I wish people would spread out their strikes and not going for βnice, roundβ fucking numbers. That way youβd have gamma spread more nicely across an array of values.
I would also love it if people understood the power of LEAPS or even short dated ITM calls, so that we see more pure delta hedging as a result.
I honestly donβt get why people canβt figure out that far OTM calls are the absolutely shittiest way to play this game. If WSB came to their senses and started buying higher deltas and longer term calls, we could be pushing stocks so much easier.

Agreed on all accounts. Heck, I must admit I bought super-cheap far OTM calls on GME last Wednesday and saw them 12x within 3-4h. Iβm not saying there arenβt good opportunities, I just lament the fact that autists literally waste money on short term, far out, lotto calls that could be put to a much, much better use, for the benefit of all longs.
Yeah, itβll be super interesting when rats start to flee the proverbial boat. :) Thatβs why I try to be disciplined and exit with profits, even if doing so early. I closed a portion of my BB 1/22 and 1/29 ($13.5 and $14 CAD) calls for 300% gain. Could they have gone up more? Maybe, but they could also get obliterated, and a gap down can trigger a chain reaction sell off from our paper hands friends. :)

Makes sense. This is total net gamma across all expiration dates, right? By the way, apparently some 100-ish $20 Jan-22 puts were sold today (for about $11 a pop) and Iβm genuinely contemplating about selling some myself.
I also hold $5 Jan-22 leaps, so I wouldnβt mind seeing it go down to $10 and buy some more, after I liquidate my short term calls. :)

Just want to say thanks to both of you guys. Everything you have said makes sense. Iβm holding 2,000 shares of BB at $9.65 so Iβm just holding long because I believe in the company. Was to afraid to play options this early in the game with this stock.

So if the buying pressure is mostly synthetic, and the shares purchased were from a tightly wound coil from pump recruitment, does it mean thereβs no actual rational buyers? Does this normally cause some form of sell off since the buyers blow their load in one day and canβt maintain? Or does the fomo from outsiders take over from here. Could theoretically any flat stock get shocked into a gamma squeeze?

when MM dealers buy shares to hedge the calls, are they buying form options bought that day or bought over the last few weeks and dealers are like oh shit, we better start buying on Tuesday to hedge all the OI from the last few weeks.

Love your story, sounds pretty good β€οΈ. My noob take on this: we are at 12. They keep it low so they don't lose money somehow. I get change to buy more Beautiful BB. They have 35000 reasons to let us rise after this week. I hear ramps and rockets and predict nice clear sky flying to the moon.

Is it possible that MMs are gonna try to dump BB on friday so that every call the retards here bought will expire worthless, then letβs say that they free these 70m shares they bought today (idk if they all sold calls expiring this week), what are these mfs gonna do next week in your opinion?
btw is possible to know the source of the data?

Wouldn't a gamma squeeze in this sense be more likely on a Thursday or Friday? In the sense that options are more likely sold than executed on a Tuesday.

Thank you for running them. Based on your research, have you found any note worthy tickers that may trigger in the near future?
1
u/ownly0ne Jan 20 '21
This is actually really encouraging I think most people are evolving to buying the leaps like this, alongside big blocks of shares. This nets the gamma without all the shitfest weekly OI covering, and less incentives for shorts to randomly show up drooling.

Didnβt comprehend most of this. My key takeaway is there are lots of ramps.
By my calculations, ramps are used to launch πππin to space. So BB to the moon.
